My perfered meele weapon in almost any situation: Scalpel. Thing is sharp enough to cut open bodys with a small blade and I belive it can penitrate bone. There are a rediculaous amout of gerrinted and instant kills that you can pull off with a knife. I will also meet up with Molten so I can get some guns.
Come at zombies, you ain't getting me.

I imagine you could make such a tactic work, but you're fucked sideways from Sunday if you screw up a manuver and a zombie gets a hold of your arm. A scalpel is a dangerously close quarters weapon.

Winchester Model 70 (.270) is the 6th long gun shown if that is what you were asking

Winchester Model 70 (.270) is the 6th long gun shown if that is what you were asking. If that is not which gun you were asking about hen at least you know that there is a winchester in there. most of the guns are foreign though.

during the commercials when watching "the walking dead" sometimes a guy comes on and discuses usefull items to use during a zombie apocalypse. he'll show a weapon that has alot of fame, then he'll show one thats easier to use or find.
for example he showed a katana, a dangerous and fast weapon, but only if you understand and know how to use it. a better alternative would be the machete because it hacks and slashes without any previous knowledge required and you can get it in weapon shops. its also good because u can keep zombies at longer than an arms length from you while saving ammo and being quiet, compared to guns.

I have a machete. Also you can get them at any home improvement store, and they don't register it as a weapon, because it is meant to be used for yard maintenance. That means anyone can buy it, as opposed to switchblades and the like, which are registered as weapons.

A scalpel would be just about the absolute worst weapon, besides your fist.

Well, you got a point, at least agianst zomibes. It would probly work better against the living in close quaters combat.
The cut that you need to make to disembowl a person isn't difficut to do with a scalpel.
"You have a baseball bat? BAM! I just slit your wrist! BAM! Handstrings and Achilies! BAM! Femoral! BAM! And now I cut your spinal cord!"
Verses zombie however...
*dives into zombie to expose torso* *CRUNCH*. Now I'm a zombie.
I want a Mauser(or however you friggn spell it, I'm not good with Germen) pistol. Thing has a full auto funtion as well as semi-auto.
"In a tight spot with a lot of zombies? *berbberberberbeb* Now their dead!"

The problem with the full auto on that gun, is that it is very inaccurate. Or so I've read. And with zombies, you either want accuracy enough to hit them in the head everytime, oe enough firepower to destroy their ability to be a threat.

I agree with the scalpel against living opponents. Not only is it good at slicing, it causes pain and it is very easy to hide... Not... Not that I would know, or anything.

And I'm bringing a riot shield.

A bunch of people with riot shields and one handed weapons would pretty much kick ass.

The full auto has it's uses. While it was desined to provide surpressing fire, it is very efffective at clearing out groups(expessally if their really slow). And if you want accuracy, you pull the trigger for a breif moment for a burst. If you have good aim, you can pull off something that is uaslly a lucky shot when full auto weapons are used in warfare, several head shots at once. Like to see a zombie get up from that.
No not really. Please don't get up.

Well I do agree with you, for pretty much any other gun. The Mauser is a pistol though. For me, its just not accurate enough to waste any ammo on full auto, when I can just shoot them one in each leg, or the head.

Mauls are two-handed, they're what you're thinking of.
A warhammer is actually smaller.
Yes, the games have all been lying to you.

Why would you shoot a zombie in the leg? That'll both make the zombie focus on you even more, and attract hordes of others now that you've given away your position with a gunshot that didn't even (re)kill anything.

I think going all medieval on the zombies would probably be quite effective. Sword for chopping heads/limbs off, possibly a shield to compensate for the lack of range, and chainmail as protection from zombie bites. It allows for more mobility than plate, and covering yourself with sheets of metal seems a bit overkill if the enemy's only weapon is teeth.
