Welcome! (old thread)

Hello, everyone who reads this. This is the replacement forum for everyone at Daisy Owl. I know it doesn't look great, but what do you expect from a free one? I've done the best i can to set things up so they look somewhat acceptable. Tell me if anything should change and i'll see what i can do.

As for now, post like there's no tomorrow!

I think this might be a good way of keeping the forum going, and thank you Gorgro for using your internet know how to keep our/your manic little community alive. If it looks like it will be popular, maybe Driscoll would link to the page from FAQ or something. Although if I were in his position I probably wouldn't link to something I had no control over that was about something I owned...if you see what I mean!

Anyway! Thanks, and here's to a happy treehouse!

This is excellent! Honestly, don't feel as if you have to add anything else. This is nice and simple and easy to use. Great job.

So, this isn't costing you anything? Because I don't want to have you foot the bill.

It's completely free, I'm glad you all like it.
If you have anything to add to the forum (maybe a nice picture to put in the top banner?) don't hesitate to post it or make suggestions. I haven't added Daisy Owl images because i'm not sure if i'm allowed to.

I'll deal out some modpowers when we have a suitable amount of members.

Either ask Driscoll or IM Rare. I must admit, I was going to suggest a banner but I wasn't sure if you could physically put one in.

Maybe we could make a banner with all of us in! I would, but I don't think I would even hold the laptop up the right way.

I'm pretty sure i'm the last person that should ask Driscoll for anything. (I notice i've been super-banned from the old forum, can't even see topics anymore) I've been thinking of asking Rare if she joined, though, but anyone can suggest one.

Since Frink is so popular I shall keep my trendy sepia-frink for a long time. Just if anyone IS making a banner. It would be nice to draw the whole thing from scratch, if possible, so we could be interacting or at least have the same graphical style.

Actually, I could probably knock something together quickly if needs be. What size does it need to be?

It looks like MountMarmalade has gone again, which I think is fair enough (and probably a good thing, as I can't spell marmarlade for toffee). I don't necassarily agree with the way a lot of people behaved in the old-new forum, Driscoll and myself included but if we put ourselves in eachother's positions I'm sure we can all see where everyone was coming from.

We really can't call this the 'official' Daisy Owl group,as none of us have the legal rights to the name and it wouldn't be great for Driscoll if someone got wind of someone on this forum proclaiming ... toasters are the only true electronic goods item and all other are false...electronic goods (I've definitely not been watching too much Battlestar Galactica). We all came together as a mutual love of the comics, and I'm sure we all still want them to do well. : D

This new forum's up! It's absolutely wonderful!
My exams are getting done, I woke up to 'Radar Love' on Classic Rock Radio at the perfect volume this morning, I aced a Chemistry exam, and I played my bass for the first time in front of family (even though I've had it for nearly a year now!) and it was just great because I perfectly played 'Helicopter' by Bloc Party!

I'm on such a high!

Helicopter is awesome sauce, it was my go-to happy song for a long time! Very complicated though, must have been pretty tricky to learn, kudos!

It wasn't really hard at all actually!
I use tabs, which are just as good as learning notes or chords :3

Sorry about the lack of karma system, it doesn't seem to be a default option on this forum and i'm not proficient enough in code writing to make one. There does seem to be a 'thanking' system, maybe i should put that up, see what it does? I'm currently looking for the option to sticky a thread...
