Hilarious conversation my dad and I just had.
He was having a long discussion with a gay-activist (Who, actually, is not gay herself) friend of his.
Anyway, when he was telling me about it, he mentioned that rainbows are apparently a symbol of gay-ness, and have been for a long time.
The whole time, I was literally biting my finger, trying not to say anything. Oddly enough, if I had said something, I would have used RD to defend rainbows, sayin that because she is so awesome, rainbows cannot be gay.
Then I realised that, had my dad seen her, it would have simply proved his point.
P.S. Hawaii is, apparently, the "Rainbow State."
P.P.S. YOU GUYS! I LIVE IN THE RAINBOW STATE! HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THAT!?!?!
I need to make a T-shirt about Hawaii, and somehow fit RD in it... Maybe I CAN convince some people to convert to Bronyism, by using this logic... Hmm....

Why can't I hold all these feels? Just watched the episode again for the fourth time. Finally composed enough to gather my thoughts. I will put these in spoilers for those who didn't see it.
God Tier Episode, Fluttershy New Best Pony, 10/10.

- That was the best opening so far, besides Dragon Quest and Luna Eclipse. Fluttershy being a tree and Derpy out of hiding and in the open with her signature eyes. We got several incredible new background ponies to look at with pretty hairstyles if you're into that kinda thing.
Also for those wanting RD to be more compassionate, this is the perfect episode.
Now the rest of this is kinda heavy and serious, even though I tried writing it roughly eight times to make it more lighthearted.
The episode hit me hard, and I was surprise and taken aback by the emotion behind it. When I was watching it, my chest felt pretty heavy, but it wasn't until I watched it for the third time that I paused it to simply break down and sob.
Fluttershy echoed so much pain I had endured during school and being haunted by seemingly 'innocent' teasing and bullying. When they showed her reliving that day she lost all confidence in herself and her flying followed by tearfully telling Rainbow Dash she wasn't needed and couldn't do it, it was exactly what I felt and how I feel almost everyday.
I'm so impressed with the realness of the scenes.
I don't want to get to much into my own stupid issues, mainly because I've talked about it before and don't wish to seem like I want to be pitied or felt sorry for. Most of the abuse I got was partially my fault for not understanding social cues and being emotionally locked down, so it's somewhat different from why Fluttershy was targeted. But I really understood Fluttershy's pain and PTSD. IMO this was a very special episode.
Alright, I'm done wallowing in pity - do beecats wallow in pity?

That's weird, because, thinking back on it, when Fluttershy started crying, it actually WAS sad. Even though I have no logical reason to be sad at that, it still was.

Eh, different people feel different things. Some are more detached when reading/watching stories. Doesn't mean your heartless. Might mean it's slightly harder for you to get really into a story, but it's by no means an indicator of a being a soulless bastard.
Look to how you treat real people for those indicators.
Besides, I'll admit, my feeling sad was helped by that the fact that I'm kinda a softy when it comes to ponies. Especially Fluttershy. If it were some TV show with human actors, chances are I'd feel a lot less.

Yeah, I'm like that. When I read a fanfic like Cupcakes or Rainbow Factory(or I'm imagining something to match them) I don't feel anything twords the characters. It's, for me, just more fuel for my mind to think. Pretty hard for me to be totally origonal with the story concepts and their details when I don't have something to inspire some thought. A lot of the hostile creatures I imagine, supernatural and otherwise, are designed to be killers, particualy against humaniods. So, I have to imagine their tools and methods of killing. As such, I frequently turn to slash fics and horror meadia to find the perfect way to make these things horrifingly effeicent killers. It's not entirely fun to think of it on my own, expsecally in my current mental state. My mind has to reconize in that way that these are people who are being killed, fictional people of course, not just... something. So my mind realizes if these things when in this world, then I'm easy game. Not a fun thought, is it?
