"What are you talking about!?" Dewmann attempted to decipher what Tacobot meant regarding his staff while at the same time keeping himself balanced as the Gryphon suddenly manuvered downwards to avoid enemies swooping in on him.
"Ugh, why is it that I seem to know the staff better than you when you've been using it for like, years?" Tacobot sighed, chin resting frusturated on a hand, despite the action playing around her. "Just twirl and thrust!"

Well she believes that it'll help somehow so why not give it a go? Dewmann thought as he stuck his arm off the side of the Gryphon and started twirling the staff in a figure eight motion, careful not to lose it this high up in the air. His grip nearly loosened too much when he began to see colored sparks fly off of it the faster he spun it. Spotting a Nightowl and some Hoothoots barrelling down on them, talons outstretched, Dewmann prayed that whatever Tacobot had told him to do would happen as he thrust the staff out, eye first. An arc of purple lightning suddnenly shot out, and connected between the attackers, shocking them all and causing them to fall, stunned.

Dewmann looked at Tacobot, before looking down at the staff, wide eyed. His awe was interrupted by a cry of "look out!" from Charles, referring to another group of assailants about to hit the Gryphon. Spinning the staff over his head, Dewmann shot it out to the other side where more lightning was conjured up and projected at his targets, putting them down.

Bringing the staff back to his side for a moment, Dewmann turned back to Tacobot, who was grinning "Now you're getting the hang of it again! Just hope we don't run into any more jabberwocks!" She called to him.

"I'll try to figure out what that meant later!" He shouted back, before preparing to attack another party of guards. By now, Charles and AM had started firing pistols at the enemies, and Esbiate and Chikorita were using their respective auras and razorleafs to hold back their foes as well. The Gryphon was able to focus a bit less on avoiding attackers, and kept his eyes on their destination. Soon enough the power would be his, he thought. But they'd need to get rid of that Mew first.

The pain was slow. Arceus found himself weightless and floating among the smoke wisps as if he were an apparition, dancing mindlessly in an elegant tango with the thick vapors, and he faintly regarded the ebbing sensation of where his bladed leg once was. He blinked in shock and considered the scene around him.

The God was all to familiar with the scenes of carnage, but the systematically stacked bodies of his royal guards that were visible now in this new perspective pulled the deity from his dream like stupor and caused the burning rage inside to explode as pure energy, and his blazing hot eyes met the mew's equally determined ones as he reared back against her psychic grip, energy as dark as the blackened bodies that littered the floor.

The screams of Arceus and the cries of Rare were a cacophony of tuneless hatred for each other that echoed through the burned out shell of the castle, and the heavy storm cloud that engulfed the castle did little to mute or soften the sounds. It was Arceus that landed the first blow, pulling free from the tyrant's grasp so suddenly that she was thrown off balance and landed hard on the war demolished floor.

Arceus was on her before she could recover, and his edged hoof found purchase as he pinned the smaller creature to the ground by her arm, the cleft nearly severing the smaller limb clean off. Shadows obscure the mew's face, but her smile was evident enough as she quietly laughed as Arceus played right into her trap.

The mew raised her paw and blasted her newly found energy into the chest of Arceus, who's proximity made it impossible to dodge. The God felt the air squeezed from his lungs as he flew though the air, catching himself hard on several broken pillars. The trail of blood the dripped from his mangled leg and the wound in his chest pooled stickily on the ground, and replaced the scent of burnt and mangled bodies with a sickly sweet one.

Arceus raised from the debris pile and watched as Rare hovered just feet from him, the arm he had pinned hanging very loosely on the bone. The mew blinked her pupiless eyes as her black energy continued to swarm around her, controlling the raging pokemon and proving she had no control over her newly found Godly powers - nor did she show any sign of resisting the power of the dark force. Within several heartbeats both Pokemon lunged at each other, catching the other in midair and sending waves of energy through the castle as they continued their heated battle.

Gryphon roused his feathers, fluffed his crest and flexed his talons as he banked hard at another aerial attack. He held his head high and focused impatiently on the the castle that was slowly growing closer, when he screeched and dropped low below the cloud cover. Someone shouted at him, but the wind in his ears whistled fiercely and soon the human gave up on communication. Gryphon felt his muscles ache with tension as he swooped over the treelines and slowly ascended towards the sky once more.

"What was that?!" Dewman had to shout to be heard despite the dying winds. Gryphon's only acknowledgment that he had heard the human was several flicks of his ears, and he seemed to weigh his words carefully before answering. Huge battle.

Gryphon roused his feathers again and set his gaze upwards towards the castle, settling himself into an easy coasting glide as the winds pick up under his wings and lifted him skywards. Something exploded and part of the castle wall was blown out, as if to punctuate the gryphon's words.

"We have to hurry!" Dew knew his words were lost in the wind once more, but figured he didn't need to tell the Gryphon this - the bird caught the storm winds and had to fight terrible to keep from being knocked off course, but nevertheless they were rocketing towards the castle once more.

Another Noctowl, huge and mottled with blacks and browns circled above them before diving, talons reached out for the two smaller Pokemon that struggled to stay safely secured on the Gryphon's back. The bird's claws brushed against the Riolu, but the anubis was prepared and quickly brought the opponent down with his crippling aura blast. The Noctowl was only one of several more who were ready for them, and from the distance they looked apart of the storm clouds that flashed with lightening around the castle. Gryphon sighed heavily as the flight was taking toll, and eyed the lightening that danced in the sky with apprehension.

'Protect the King! Protect our God!'

Charles barely heard the guards chanting before they divebombed and flashed piercing beaks and talons, trying to get hold of the soft skin of the humans. Several others had circled under the Gryphon in an attempt to attack his exposed stomach, but the larger bird proved to much for the much smaller ones as they were knocked clean away before they could land their attacks. Tacobot had several times been knocked off course, but the robot was surprisingly adequet at fighting in the air as she managed not to attack her teammates in friendly fire.

"Guys..." Gryphon's voice was strained as he rode another air current upwards, blinking away the freezing water molecules that clung to his feathers and around his eyes. Charles groaned as he saw the guards retreat temporarily, regrouping into another black mass as more flew in from inside the castle to join the outside ones. The explosions could be heard clearly now, and Charles only hoped they could fight through the bird army and land before the ice weight the Gryphon down and proved him incapable for flight.

"It's okay, I was built for fighting, especially in the air! Except for in the air." Tacobot 'reassured' the others. Charles turned to Medic and Dewman who were both tired, freezing and nervous. They both had fresh cuts on their faces and Charles felt his own wounds bleeding freely down his arms and from his head. And yet, he never felt better.

"This is it, okay?" He mouthed because now thunder joined in with the rain and lightening and made it impossible to hear anything else. It was unclear if the others had understood what he mouthed, but they nodded and readied their gear anyway. Esbiate stared with deep remorse at the castle. Whatever his queen was facing inside, he knew he would fight with her to his death.

His only regret was bringing his love Rita into this nightmare.

(if no one minds, i'll try to bring us to the castle. if you do i can edit my post.)

"It's okay, I was built for fighting, especially in the air! Except for in the air." Tacobot 'reassured' the others as they shivered in the frigid air that the tacobot could not sense. and she was quite proud of the fact that she had not caused any sort of friendly fire... yet.
somerabbit (who still for some reason looked like a human) said something that the tacobot's lip reading sensor's indicated was "this is it, okay?"
the others readied their gear, and tacobot checked the vorpal sword, magnetized to her back, then, as if to formerly disprove (or prove) the tacobot's fighting prowess in the sky, one of the rockets on her feet burped and stopped producing any flame whatsoever.
tacobot hung there for a few seconds, unsure of-
she took off in the sky, spiraling upwards, sometimes downwards, then up again. she shot through the crowd of birds, "excuse me, pardon me. oops, sorry about that." she said as she hit several of the birds, they tried following her, but her inaccurate and constantly shifting course made it difficult to plan any sort of attack, short of following her.
"stop that robot! she's getting near the castle."
finally the tacobot was flung out of the flockade (blockade and flock) of birds and spirled upwards once again.
momentarily distracted by the enemy getting through their lines, the owl gave a war cry and the entire flockade gave chase.
gaining a little amount of control, the tacobot could control the left and right, but not the up and down. she flew awkwardly thought he clouds before knocking her metal head on a door, the rocket sputtered and the tacobot backed up only to be thrown again against the door then a third time, this time the doors opened by some frantic looking guard pokemon.
"who in the name of arceus?"
"exsqueeze me!" the rocket farted, pushing the tacobot into the castle that didnt really need a door anymore since it was falling apart anyway. "DESTROY ALL CLOWNS!" the tacobot suddenly yelled gleefully as she flew past a very angry looking pokemon and another smaller pink one, rare, aka the red queen, aka rareipoo.
"hi rare!" tacobot said happily as if it had forgotten its mission. "bye rare!" it said just as happily as the rocket flung the tacobot even higher into the atmosphere.
there was a precious amount of seconds in which the witneses stared up at the robot as it dissipated into the sky.
the distant cry of "SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEE!" was heard.
a few seconds later as arceus turned back fight the evil mew, an armada of the castles birds flew by and cut of his sight of the evil pokemon.
"what are you doing here! get out!" he demanded of his subjects.
(are we there yet?)

AM was looking at the Tacobot while she was awkwardly flying around, distracting the owls.

"Oh hey! There is no bird now!" said AM

"This is our chance!" replied Charles

The gryphon heard him and flew right to the castle.

"TO THE INFINITY AND BEYOND!" yelled AM while everybody was staring at him. Even the gryphon.

"What the hell?" it said

"Don't worry, he's useful." said SG

(That's short but DEAL WITH IT!)

(happy birthday, RPG!)

"Go, go, go!" screamed Charles. Not all the birds were gone, but more than half of them chased after the crazy tacobot as it flew near the castle. It was their only chance to get to it without too much trouble. The gryphon quickly complied to the order and flew as fast as his large wings could carry him. In 10 seconds flat, they were at the entrance to the castle. Or, at least, what was remaining of it.

When the group got off and placed their feet on the castle floor, Charles couldn't help but feel special in some small way. They were just a bunch of mortals, and here they were, going to walk the same ground that Gods trot. Despite the state of the area, it was still one of, if not the holiest place in the entire world.

But it wasn't time for some sight seeing.

They had a crazy Mew to stop.

--x--

"Intruders, Sir! We believe they work for the Mew!" said one of the guards to Jehovah as Arceus screamed, unleashing yet another attack that Rare easily dodged.

"How did they manage to reach the Castle?! Why couldn't you stop them?!" screamed the human God while he tried to help the other Almighty at something that seemed impossible.

"S-sorry, Sir...we tried..." replied the Pidgeot, who had been the one to give the bad news.

"No matter. I don't want them coming near us. We already have enough trouble as it is."

"Yes Sir!" replied the guards as they quickly flew towards the entrance.

As Rare stumbled forward, trying desperately to keep her balance, Arceus followed close behind her, channeling energy around him to make sure that nothing else would attack him while he was vulnerable and concentrating on his target. Behind him, he could hear the angered voices of Jehovah, but this did little to deter him from his pursuit.

Rare staggered along blindly, trying to clear the red hue from her vision so she could focus better. The Pokemon finally found her opening for attack when Arceus paused to charge his barrage - she swiftly banked hard, and faced her opponent before he could react.

Gryphon reared back as several new guards approached, and felt the humans beside him gather their composer after being perplexed by the power the castle radiated even in its current state. The Pidgeot that delivered the news to Jehovah didn't last long as it soon found its wings mangled around his body, his beak frozen open in pain as he laid among the debris. Charles felt the mew's presence and his throat became dry with anxiety and need. This whole journey, this whole roleplay, came down to this battle.

Arceus shook the pain from his body and quickly recovered as the mew attempted to land another assault, only to be deflected and knocked into the wall with an agonizing blow. The mew's body was now glowing with power, and her muscles taunt with anticipation to tear into anything and everyone who defied her. The mew bared fangs as she pushed herself off the wall and rocketed towards the deity, who couldn't find proportion on his three legs and found himself landing hard on the ground.

Charles felt the impact of his fist as it broke into the bird's beak, sending the creature crying and flying out of the castle in retreat. Dewman raised his axe and swung, and smiled as the axe made contact and quickly cleaned the blood off before turning his attention to defend Medic from the back.

Rare watched as Arceus was flung across the room, failing to stop himself in time before colliding with one of the few standing pillars. He found his footing and screamed in anger before grabbing the mew with his energy and throwing her out into the hall. The mew bounced and felt several ribs crack before coming to a skidding halt on the carpet.

When she looked up, she saw the shocked expression of the human Charles.

someguy3657

someguy3657

Charles blinked and stared at the Mew as she came to a halt a few feet in front of him. He looked at the others, who seemed to share his surprise. Did the true Gods have this whole thing under control after all? He stared back at the Mew, who stared up at him, a mix of her own surprise and her unsatiable rage.

Suddenly, from the next room came Jehovah and Arceus. Charles was shocked to see the two Gods, tired and beaten, and with Arceus missing a leg. The human God stared at the newcomers and the Mew furiously, but it was nothing compared to Arceus' fury.

''WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!'' he boomed at the group, who stepped back a bit, slightly nervous. ''I THOUGHT I ORDERED YOU TO GO HOME!''

A bit of silence followed this outburst. Charles, deciding that, since they were in enough trouble as it is, and that they couldn't be in any more trouble, spoke up.

''Sorry to disobey your orders, but we're here to help you stop Rare.''

''That's foolish of you. If we can't stop her, how could you possibly do it?'' said Jehovah, speaking before Arceus could angrily respond.

''Simple. I just need those.'' Charles said while pointing the sunglasses on Rare's nose. The Mew looked at the human and the two Gods furiously, undecided on who to attack first.

"Oh hey it's Rare!" said AM

"SSSHHH- don't you see that Charles is talking to God?" said Dewmann

"Morgan Freeman is here? Where!"

-Facepalm from Dewmann-

"Simple. I just need those." Charles said while pointing the sunglasses on Rare's nose. The Mew looked at the human and the two Gods furiously, undecided on who to attack first.

"What are we waiting for again?" said AM

Dewmann was getting bored of all the crazy question AM was asking.

"It's a good thing that you are useful. Anyway, is your stuff ready." ask Dewmann

"Eeyup" replied AM

Everyone was ready for the final battle. The only thing that was not ready is, who will attack first?

there was a loud *crack* and something metalic broke through the ceiling, it careened into the floor in front of rare, causing the room to shake slightly. dust flew into the air but through that it was still possible to see hyper-heated metal glowing a bright red.
tacobot struggled to pull her head out of the impact hole, she finally suceeded, with a cry of victory. she turned to the mew creature and immediately recognized it.
"so we meet for the first time for the last time, this time, red Queen!" there was no mistake, this was definitely the red queen, the evil pink creature that had betrayed her freinds and nearly destroyed wonderland, using CLOWNS no less! tacobot took the vorpal blade from her magnetized back, and pointed the sword at the mew, the robot's metal skin glowing brightly from the heat. "i figured out who the white queen is, and my friends and i re going to put her back in charge." the blade itself caused a small disturbance in reality, that caused it to radiate and bend light around it. "oooo that looks neat, i wonder what would happen if i..." tacobot raised the sword to slash at the mew.

Rare felt the pain of the impact sear white-hot through her body, but the pain transformed into something greater when she saw her nemesis Charles standing just feet away from her, vulnerable and open. The mew's body shook as she stood, and she felt the heat of longing and desire to tear the human apart and cast him away, out of existence and out of her life. Or perhaps get closer to him, make him her king, and achieve complete domination over him. Both ideas aroused her, and she tossed the ideas around in her mind.

The Goddess was still trembling when something crashed from the sky, landing crumpled and burning, embedded in the stone flooring. The object pushed itself up with some difficulty, flailing around as its head was stuck in the concrete, but Rare recognized the shape immediately. The robot gave her victory cry as she was released from the impact crater, waving some weapon around haphazardly.

"So we meet for the first time for the last time, this time, red Queen!" The robot was pointing her metallic finger at the smaller creature, who tilted her head, questioning, but before Rare could ask her creation what she was talking about, the robot lifted the blade and began to swing.

"I did! I defeated her! LEVEL UP!" The robot stood heroically, but huffed when Rare reappeared several inches away from her, the small slice on her thigh indicating she had not teleported away quick enough to avoid complete injury. The robot, thoroughly dejected, slumped slightly where she stood and glanced at the band of heroes that she had traveled with. "I still level up, right?"

"Charles." Rare's voice was breathless, light, nearly whispered, but her body shook violently with...anger? Anticipation? The power she struggled to control? For brief moments he wondered if the energy would simply rip her apart. Her head snapped back, and her fur bristled, growing lighter, until her entire body was engulfed with light, the entire room-

Silence. Dewman rolled over, wondering when he had fell. It was silent. His body felt numb, as if he walked through electricity. He pushed himself up, and realized he was blind. No..he wasn't blind...the room was just incredibly dark. The buzzing in his ears grew louder the longer the silence went on, and he held his face as he tried to blink away the shock, the pain in his head. He heard someone groan, and forced himself to move. Find the others. What had happened? Where they dead? Did she finally explode, taking them with her?

He felt his body nearly topple as he stood, and waited for his eyes to adjust to the darkness. He saw the shape of his friend Charles, curled, and shaking. He was closest to the Mew. Was he hit the hardest? He felt incredible depression as he realized they were still alive. They must be. He pushed forward, and landed hard next to Charles, pushed himself up on his knees and examined his friend.

Charles was well - shaken, but unharmed otherwise. The room was blinking light - someone, or something, was trying to illuminate the area, but it was difficult. Where was Arceus? Where was Medic, and Taco?

Where was Rare?

Dewman gathered Charles in his arms, and rested the boys head on his lap. Charles blinked rapidly, struggling with the same confusing and aches. Dewman touched Charle's face lightly, trying to gather words. He listened to the faint breathing of his companion, watching his chest rise and fall. Charles spoke first.

"Dewman" He groaned and pressed his fingers to his eyes. "She isn't dead. I can feel her." Dewman glanced around for anyone else, but it was so hard to see, so hard to focus. "We need to move, we need to organize.."

Dewman nodded, but neither of them moved. Dewman licked his lips and tried to speak, but failed several times. He didn't know when, but he found his fingers wrapped around Charles's, tightly gripped onto the only piece of sanity and support he had. Charles heard the faintest sounds, someone moving, something growling, in the dark, watching them, could kill them without them seeing. He heard heard Dewman's heart pound against his chest. It was relaxing, and Charles wanted to sleep-

Suddenly Charles moved, propping himself up on his elbows, and squinted into the dark. His first thought was that they had died. But then he quickly brushed that though aside. It had only been a few minutes, but he felt like he was down for hours, and the world need him. Needed his team. He couldn't rest, he couldn't think they were safe.

Standing was challenging enough, but somehow being unable to see clearly made it worse. He had just adjusted to the blackness when the flash of light that came without warning blinded the area in white, causing both humans to cry in alarm and nearly lose the balance they fought hard to achieve. The light dimmed just enough to see without much pain, and Charles quickly located Medic and Taco standing just a few feet away, Medic waving that he was okay, and Taco attempting to balance the sword on her head. Suddenly Medic stopped waving and let his hand drop to his side, eyes widening. Following his gaze, they located Rare.

She was surrounded with bright auras, and as usual to her power spurts, her eyes were pupiless. This time around several other things changed. The sunglasses were gone. No - Charles thought - transformed into a small monocle that laid over her right eye. She was dressed complete with tophat, waistcoat and a fine cane that she twirled in her paw.

"Charles." Her voice was different, overcome with the power of the Gods that possessed her. "I present to you - my final form! Witness UNLIMITED POWER!"

Before he could react, Rare threw herself towards him, and the battle he waited so long for began.

(Huh, all of the wangst Dewmann has gone through in this roleplay, and yet, when the time comes for homoerotic tensions to soar during an unguarded moment, he's the one who ends up being the comforter. Didn't expect that one.)

*OH SHIT! WATCH OUT CHARLES!* yelled AM when he saw Rare rushing toward him.

AM threw one of his Ubercharge in bottle toward Charles and Dewmann fast enough to protect them from the impact and by the same way, it healed them from their injuries. Well...the physical ones, not the brain ones.

-Inside AM's head-

I want to talk to you, Stef.

"It's been years since you didn't talk to me...Virus."

Five years to be exact.

"Yeah, when you took control of me."

I'm not here to talk about that. I think you are already aware of the situation?

"Yup. We are in deep trouble."

Yes indeed. I need your help.

"What?"

I need you to take back your body. You are better than me in these kind of situation.

"I bet you will take it back after that heh?"

Yes

"(sight) Ok, I'll do it. I hope you brought it with you."

Yes I did. Thank you Stef.

-Back to earth-
AM's face started to loose its yellowness and is grind transformed into a normal mouth. Rare was impressed of this suddent change.

"Oh! It seems that the Virus is gone!" said Rare

"Yeah, and you shouldn't be so happy about that Rare." said calmly Stef

"Oh! and you also got some guts! Impressing!" said Rare

"Tsss. Laugh if you want, but you will face your doom right here."

"And how will you do that?"

Stef pull up his left sleeve and pressed a small button on a device. His Medigun backpack started to create blue and red spark. His clothes morphed all into one armor and the backpack fusioned with it. the medigun attached itself to his left arm and morphed into a new weapon. His trusty Tesla Gun was back. Healing beams rushed out of the Backpack and attached themself to his friends, constantly healing them.

"My name his Stef the Tesla Lord. AND I'M BACK TO KICK SOME POKEMON'S ASS!"

the sword hummed and at the instand that the glow of the red queen brightened, it also blinked out of existence, briefly, for taco and medic.
they found themselves in a room with a moose, the only thing that tacobot could think to do was balance the sword on her head to placate the demon. while medic started talking with himself, that was okay though, it was another strange organic thing-they-do.
thankfully the sword humed again and they reappeared in what looked like the same room they had just been in. dew-pillar and somerabbit were getting to know each other better. that was nice, its always good for friends to get to know each other...better...right?
the other odd thing was that the two glowy guys were gone, one was a pokemon and the other was a human... but they were REALLY GLOWY.
then the red queen spoke.
"Charles." Her voice was different, overcome with the power of the Gods that possessed her. "I present to you - my final form! Witness UNLIMITED POWER!"
she floated and glowed bright red with pure energy, but seemed distracted at the medic, hose head was becoming less swollen and his skin more pink than red. then armor grew from his backpack and covered him, he spoke clearly and intelligibly, and less entertainingly than he usually did.
"My name his Stef the Tesla Lord. AND I'M BACK TO KICK SOME POKEMON'S ASS!"
"are you taking names too?" taco asked but he was already off. slamming a metal fist into the red queen, who merely held out a red paw that stopped the impact, coldly.
"my turn!" tacobot ran up behind the red queen and aimed the vorpal sword to slice her head cleanly off. to once and for all end the evil queen and destroy her clown armies!
but perhaps, announcing that she was about to attack was not a good idea. the red queen stopped taco's swing, and wrapped her tail around the tacobot's arm.
"hey that's MY arm!"
"that's funny, because i'm fairly sure that I MADE IT!"
"no it was made by my best friend raripoo!" taco shrieked.
"i am your creator! search your... hardrive, you know it to be true!"
"nooooooooooo..." taco ran out of breath which was odd because she didnt breathe. she took a breath. "...oooooooooooooooooo..."

Sitting there, holding Charles tightly against himself, listening intently for any sign of Rare, Dewmann felt something through his pain and anxiety. It was a sensation that was faded, but still easy enough to make out, and it didn't take long to make the connection that this feeling had with his proximity to Charles.

Dewmann had dropped everything to get to Charles as soon as he had found out about the young man's conflict with Rare. It was not as if he had known Charles, as Dewmann was chosen for the mission by the organization he had long since lost contact with specifically because he was so distant and unconnected from both Charles and the organization, making him harder to trace back to them, and yet he was still completely determined to be a part of things. He did not know his original reasons for being so adamant about joining the quest, but figured it had something to do with him wanting to do something worthwhile with his otherwise mundane life, but by now, Dewmann's original reasons for helping no longer mattered.

Now Dewmann had gone through absolute hell in a relatively short span of time. He had been gravely injured numerous times, he had been forced to kill more enemies then he cared to remember, and his growing anguish was slowly but surely reaching a breaking point. Had he gone through this alone, he likely would have become a sobbing wreck long before this point, or would perhaps instead be in some sort of catatonic state. But now, Dewmann was determined to stop Rare and help save the world, and it was all because of Charles.

Charles was a hero. While Dewmann could barely get through a battle without breaking down, Charles showed little to no sign of anything like regret. While Dewmann's injuries constantly pained him, and filled him with anxiety regarding whether or not he'd make it through the next fight, Charles pressed on without hesitation, knowing he had a job to do. While Dewmann had gotten in way over his head, Charles was thrust into this situation without any warning, but still rolled with the punches and stayed strong. Charles was an inspiration. He was the crutch that made Dewmann grit his teeth and bear with his wounds. He was the model that Dewmann followed when the time came for violence. He was the light guided Dewmann through the impossible odds thrown at their group. In such a short time, Dewmann relied on Charles more than anyone else in his entire life.

And that was why, when he saw Charles in such a vulnerable state, visibly shaking on the ground, Dewmann did his best to comfort the boy. Although part of the reason he did so was out of genuine compassion and concern for Charles' mental health, Dewmann couldn't help but feel a bit selfish, as he knew that if Charles was ever broken, then he would soon follow.

Dewmann's pondering was broken when Charles stirred, and they both reluctantly got back up, silently acknowledging that they couldn't stay huddled together forever, as they needed to find Medic and Taco. Thankfully, that task was made simple by the blinding flash of light that suddenly illuminated the pitch black area, revealing that the eccentric duo were not very far. However, turning around revealed something much more unpleasant, namely, Rare had not gone far away either.

The two weakened young men barely had time to ready themselves for a fight as Rare boasted about her power when she suddenly bolted towards the two. Just before she struck them however, a large bottle shattered close to the two of them, and as the liquid that was inside coated them both, Dewmann was thrown aside by Rare, and he experienced a stinging sensation all over his body that passed after a few seconds, leaving him feeling more rejuvinated than he had ever remembered feeling recently. Looking down on himself, Dewmann saw that most of his wounds had healed, and he felt energetic and battleready. He looked over at the Medic, and, although he was bewildered by the sudden humanizing of AM's features, he still connected the dots in his head when he remembered the liquid, and saw the beam that was being shot at him, healing the rest of his wounds.

He looked over at Rare and Charles, who were struggling with each other, the boy, although constantly being healed by another one of Medic's beams, still on the losing end, due to the Mew's intense power. Thankfully, Stef and Tacobot ran to his aid, and were engaging Rare themselves now. Dewmann ran towards the skirmish to join it as well, but suddenly, Rare gave off some kind of shockwave, throwing all three of her opponents off of her, and causing Dewmann to stumble back a few steps as well. This also sent his staff, which he had lost track of when the darkness came, flying in his direction. Instictively catching it, Dewmann twirled it and pointed the eye towards Rare, a few jolts of purple lightning sparking around it.

Things were about to come to a climax.

Charles looked at his friends, all around him. They were all here, ready to take down a tyrant. He saw Dewmann twirl his staff around. He had no idea what powers this staff had, or if he even knew how to use it, but he knew that it would help them greatly in this ordeal. He looked over to Stef, in his giant mechanical suit. It had been a long time since he saw his friend's actual face, and not his yellow one. He also remembered him saying that big suit of his was still a prototype. Hopefully, it won't go bad during the battle. Charles then looked over to the Tacobot, who was swinging that blade around like a maniac. Why did she call Rare ''the Red Queen''? No matter.

Then, Charles looked at himself a bit. Some Canadian dork who fought his entire way up here. Compared to the others, he was currently the weakest, and the most targeted by the Mew. If he could get his sunglasses back, he could help out a bit, but she was going to make sure that won't happen.

''Charles.'' boomed a voice in his head. The boy knew who it was the moment it spoke up: it was Jehovah. Charles looked around him, but couldn't see the Gods anywhere.

''We're deeper in the Castle, and we're trying to regain our strength. You proved yourself to be quite brave, despite refusing to follow orders. This is why I and Arceus will bestow you with some of our powers, so you may take down this Mew.''

A bit of silence followed, before Arceus' voice boomed in his head. By the sound of his tone, he didn't seem too happy with that idea. ''Fine. You'll get your powers. But hear me out, boy: if you don't stop her, I will use the last of MY powers to send you and every single one of your friends straight to Hell!''

Everyone stared at Charles as he seemed to glow a little. The Canadian could feel immense power wash over him. He knew that he wasn't a God, more like a demi-God, but still, he felt like he could do anything. He almost felt like he could raise things with nothing but his thoughts. He looked at the Mew and grinned. He was already very strong, but if he could get back those glasses, he and his friends just might overpower her.

His final battle had begun.

The Gryphon watched the entire scene from the darkness. They were still in the Castle, but the Mew somehow managed to suck out the light of the area. Her powers were amazing. And the monocle she was wearing seemed to be bathing in pure power as well. If he could get those powers, the world would bend over to HIS will. He was just about to lunge towards the Pokemon when he felt another power surge, coming from the boy. He didn't know how he managed to gain such powers, but the Gryphon smiled, changing his target and preparing himself to lunge at Charles. If he get his strength, the Mew's strength would be much easier to get.

Stef noticed small glow coming from where Charles is. He saw Charles glowing into a bright light and he felt that it was not a normal power. It was different. He was getting worried until he saw that good old grin on his face.

"Well well well. Snow-White is back into reality!" said Stef while going beside him.

"You bet! It's good to see you are back too!." he replied.

"I know right! And I'm glad my armor is still fonctionnal."

"Yeah. So how was it when you were all crazy and stuff?"

"Well, I was in a weird world where manly dude were all drinking tea under some yellow tree because the purple sun in the green sky was too cold. Even the pink cloud couldn't heat the place."

"Wat"

"Yeah"

"HEY! I'M STILL HERE YOU KNOW!" shouted Rare.

"Oh yeah....I almost forgot about you..." replied someguy.

"Me too, but hey it remind me of one time when I was still in control of myself! It was a beautiful in my lab. I was testing some new compound when-"

"SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU, SHUT UP!"

"That is not fancy of you." said Charles.

"Yeah, indubitably!" said Stef.

-Facepalm for Rare-

"Alrighty then, let's settle this like gentlemen" said Stef again while waving is fist.

-Double facepalm (Rare and Chuck)-

"You are still crazy."

"I always was."

"True"

"BRING IT ON!" said Rare

(Sorry this is late, again! I tried putting some backstory to link it to the first roleplay, and whatever. So let me know how it is).

Rare waited as patiently as an angry Goddess could. For a second she almost jumped into the conversation, but it had changed to the two companions arguing and she had no time for petty squabbles. It had been a long and eventful journey from the Marmalade Mountains to this castle in the sky, but this would be the mews first real fight with the Gods power to wield. And she was well aware of the power she had been given and the responsibility she now held - for the worlds sake, she had to defeat these humans. She made that promise long ago when Earth needed her help before. The full story was more complicated and detailed, but the years of insanity ate away at the Mews memory and her intentions, filling in gaps to suit her needs. She knew she didn't know everything. But she knew enough to push herself forward in anger and the need for revenge.

[She had died - roaming the Earth as a partial ghost, but dead nevertheless. She still remembered seeing the flash of fire as she was pushed out of the spaceship, giving the last of her energy to teleport Esbiate and her last bloodline carefully down to the planet.]

Stef regained his composure and challenged Rare once more, finally gripping sanity long enough to remember the current situation. Rare mused as she didn't recall this new 'hero' from previous missions, but waved him away all the same. From what she had seen, she was not impressed. Tacobot found her way beside Charles and was flailing the blade around as if she was a videogame character on idle.

"Is this the dance floor?!" Her voice caused Dewman and Charles to groan as they had no time for antics. "Yes, but we dance after the evil queen is destroyed." Charles replied with his eyes locked on the mew. She adjusted the monocle of power and felt her fur bristle from excitement.

[The basic mission given to the clan had been that the Futon King and Queen were raising spawns of Futons that were sent towards Earth in an invasion. Destroy them and their leader at all costs - The mission sounded simple enough, but it had proved harder then expected, and eventually led to several casualties. Rare felt pride in her team as she watched them take down the Futon menace even with her and several other members dead in the ground. Or, in her case, dead floating in space.]

She had been keeping a close watch so far and though she'd prefer for the humans to make the first move, she knew they would be cautious. Hoping for mistakes to be made wouldn't win her this battle. She waved her paw dismissively. “I have some additional hands ready to take part in the battle.” Charles glanced quickly out of the corner of his eye. Several more Pokemon had surrounded them since they entered, most with abnormally large stingers. He remembered what Alan had said before his death in the caves.

They still say she experiments, trying to find the perfect creation..

"You're a monster. Your views are as twisted as your ugly face." Charles flexed his hands, wishing for something to grip, to hold before him so he didn't feel so vulnerable. The mew laughed, but her once bell-like giggle was replaced with something more sinister. Whatever she had done to gain a Gods power was controlling her entirely now.

"You call me a monster. But this world is filled with monsters. I am going to purge this planet of all sickening life form, can't you see what I'm doing is for the best?"

[She saw as the Earth rejected the heroes that had saved them. Government cover-ups ensured that no one knew of the danger they were in, and anyone who got close to the truth was quickly annihilated. The Government owned The Children Of The Treehouse, as they were called at the time, and used them like their golden secret weopen, only more disposable. And then Junior. Junior grew to look like his mother, only more hornet-like. But that was okay. Rare thought Junior was perfect the way he was. And then he went and got killed, and the planet she died trying to protect denied his very existence.

And then Rare was brought back. Being united with her teammates, she only exposed her true feelings to Esbiate. The deep hatred of the planet. No one else saw it the way she did. The Children disbanded and went against their controllers, but in the end still saving the useless humans that populated the world.

"We should take over it." Rare said finally to Esbiate in confidentiality. "Control this world, make it a paradise and dispose of all the sinners that fill it."]

The soft sound of tiny feet crossing the room made everyone pause to find the source. Esbiate and Rita, who were momentarily forgotten, stepped out of shadows. Inwardly Esbiate frowned as Charles glared at him with suspicious eyes as the blue Pokemon walked over to Rare's side.

"We saved you! We helped you!" Charles snarled. "You, of all Pokemon, can't honestly believe this thing!

"I don't want this." Esbiate replied with a sad whisper. "I want things to go back to normal, when we were baking sweets every weekend and most shenanigans done was loosening the tops of salt shakers. But I'm also tired, Charles." Esbiate gave his tail a small wag. He knew that wasn't his Rare. Not anymore. She was...different.

When she had suggested her idea, of world domination, he imagined it as another game of theirs. Run around at night with capes and masks. But he was loyal to her. It simply came down to loyalty to his closest friend.

Rita stood beside Charles.

"Rio.." She cried softly.

"Gryphon, take Rita to safety." Esbiate didn't know if the giant bird would listen. Gryphon tilted his head in thought, and glanced between Rare and Charles before taking the small grass type in his beak and flying out of the castle and out of sight. Esbiate clenched his fists as Rita yelled out for him, begging him to be with her, because she was so scared and he didn't have to do this. He didn't have to.

But he did. He knew he did.

"Charles, if you could expel the evil that has controlled my Rare, I would gladly help you. But there is nothing that can save her, so I must fight beside her." He raised an Aura Spear he had powered and Rare did the same, though hers was larger and crackled with power.

"Lets do this."

(Suddenly Dewmann is part of this backstory now.)

As Dewmann was busy alternating between brandishing the staff at the results of Rare's experiments or at Rare herself, as well as her partner and associate, he still couldn't shake the feeling that nagged him in the back of his mind. A feeling of forgetfulness that he had contemplated every so often before always deciding to try and brush it off and ignore it. But it still remained, and had been doing so for as long as he could remember, of course leading to the question of what it was exactly he was trying to remember.

["What the hell do you mean he's going along with you?"
"You know what I mean. He's ready."
"He's barely half the age of one of our typical grunts!"
"But he's been training for just as long as most of them. And he's had the advantage of not having to forget everything he knew beforehand."
"Right, yeah, anything to justify child soldiers."
"Don't compare us to third-world warlords. You know this is a huge exception we're making, and it's not like we've been abusing him. He's eagar to get out into the field."
"But that's only because his training and the Children are all he's ever known. If you ask me, we should have dropped him off at whatever foster home we could find as soon as his folks were KIA. It would have been easier for us, and better for him."
"But I'm
not asking you, am I lieutenant? This is what they wanted for him. They felt it would be better to do it this way rather than try balancing raising a normal child while still committing to the Children."
"So instead of giving this kid a chance at a functional life, they decided to force him into the kind of shit we deal with on a regular basis? Parents of the fucken' year!"
"Watch how you speak to me lieutenant, and don't assume we immediately agreed. There was intense debate over the issue, particularly over how typical familial bonds could affect performance, but upon the deaths of those two brave agents, we decided that, grim as it may sound, since we would no longer have to deal with parent-child relationships, the benefits of raising a child in the Children would greatly outweigh the drawbacks."
"We benefit. He doesn't. He's been steadily desensitized to violence and death, but if something extraordinary happens that he isn't prepared for, he could go off the deep end. And even if he avoids that, it's not like he's ever going to be able to live a normal life."
"Once you join the Children, that possibility is forever gone. You know that as well as I do lieutenant."
"Alright fine, then let's get back to the issue at hand. Why is he going on this mission?"
"Because we'll need every one of our most experienced officers leading the main strike force. The diversionary assault is the perfect way to put his leadership skillls to the test."
"And if something goes wrong?"
"He'll rethink his strategy."
"And if he's not prepared to do that?"
"Then we pray for him, and if he doesn't make it, we leave the issue in the hands of those higer up than us."
"Right yeah, kid dying isn't our problem, eh?"]

Despite being in a powder keg of a situation that was moments away from bursting, Dewmann still couldn't help but reach back into the recesses of his mind, and find that odd sense of forgetting something, as he had done so many times in the past. But now, he wasn't just pondering that thought, but also the mystery behind the organization he was contacted by. Who were they, and why did they choose him for this mission? He certainly didn't consider himself world-saving material, but apparently they did, and they thought of him more highly than they thought of any other possible candidates. But all he knew about them was how to contact them, and their symbol, a golden tree pin.
