Okay, I have reached the point in Alien Isolation that I can walk around while hearing the vents echo with the sound of a prowling Alien and feel relatively safe. The only times when I don't feel safe is when said alien decides to hop out of the vents, and when people around me have guns (noise attracts the alien).

Also guns are not your friend in the game, I have used my revolver only once, and that was to deal with an android. They make you reload revolvers in a realistic manner, so only one bullet at a time for revolvers. The only other weapon in the game I have used is the flamethrower, and that was so the alien would run instead of charge (flamethrower is currently my only method of dealing with a charging alien, and it eats through ammo). My total kill count is literally 1 human and 1 android.

I am already past that (the proof is that you get flamethrower later in the game than the baton), currently trying to prepare to tow Sevastapol.

So a friend of mine preordered Saints Row: Gat out of Hell for me. I am now impatiently waiting for January to roll by.

In case you're unfamiliar with Saints Row, it's a game that started out as a GTA clone and then, as the series went on, became so over the top that it makes GTA look bland and uninteresting. Seriously.

Here's the games, quickly summarized:

SR 1: GTA clone with gang violence, played pretty straight.
SR 2: Still played pretty straight, but there are some crazier moments, like a boss fight with someone who uses voodoo, and an activity where you're tasked with lowering property value by spraying shit on stuff
SR 3: You can dress up as the craziest costumes imaginable as you fight gangs of well dressed Europeans, emo/goth hackers, and luchadors. One of the activities is a Japanese game show where you shoot mascots for money
SR 4: You become the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, and ALIENS INVADE EARTH and lock you in a VIRTUAL REALITY that you must destroy. Oh, and you get superpowers in that virtual reality

And the new game that's coming out is going to take place in HELL ITSELF, where I will proceed to SHOOT SATAN IN THE FACE.

I am fucking hyped

I don't know why, but just about everyday in school during lunch (and after during finals) A bunch of people decide to play Project M (Smash Brothers Brawl mod). This has made computer players rediculousy easy to kill even on max level, according to a friend of mine. I am inclinded to believe him.

recently played this source mod called alchemilla which recreates silent hill in the source engine. unfortunately the devs could'nt fimd anyone to do A.I. programming. which means no combat or npc interactions
so instead they focused on atmosphere and the feeling of loneliness, as well as puzzles. it really good and i recommend it.
i also did a let's play of it and finished it this past weekend. i haven't finished uploading it, but if you're interested:
