The I know that feel thread

I like to think I am something like seven pages behind everyone and they are all just humouring me. I think that would be funny. I believe I am something like eight pages ahead. I am chapter eleven and the world can't slow me down because i am a refined steam train of pure energy and seduction

Are we talking about books or what?

Everyone around me is reading the first Harry Potter book, and I've already moved on to real fantasy, like the Lord of the Rings.

Honestly, I don't know if that means that Im behind, or ahead, but I know Im in a better place.

I'm the Silmarillion.
Hardly anybody knows the whole story, and those that do aren't quite sure what it's about anyways. But it's a pretty good read and parts of it are kinda funny. Also, I've never read it.

Are we claiming characters now? Alright. I'm Kit, from Dark Lord of Derkholm then. Man I gotta reread that.

We didn't do prom, but I get the gist of that feel.

That feel when you did barely anything productive today and you don't know if you should just be comfortable or feel bad about yourself

That's why I almost never take days off...it just feels so wrong to do nothing all day. []

That feel when you take some new medication and accidentally stay up until four in the morning and then wake up at six and feel normal. I got two hours of sleep, why the hell do I feel fine?

I'm pretty sure your body cannot cope without sleep for that long. After a few days without sleep you supposedly start feeling a little crazy.

I went a full 3 days without sleep when I badly injured my back (I couldn't lie down, and could barely sit down, so sleeping was not easy!). By the end of the third day, I slept hunched over in a chair, due to just sheer exhaustion. I felt very weak. So yeah, I doubt that's true!

Well, I don't know, man. Scientists have checked that guy out. He's in perfect health, with no mental problems of any kind, and he didn't sleep a wink while they were studying him

We call them formals over here and my experience with them is confusing.
Our school has 2, one in year 10 and a final one when you finish school. The one in tenth year was cancelled because laws changed and you couldn't leave school early anymore, so they figured "Hey, no-one's leaving, why bother?"
Fair enough. But we were the only year that happened to. Next year and the year after got their formal.
That, and a girl attempted to create a student funded one for us in protest, and after acquiring at least $2000, she suddenly couldn't do it. Because laws, or something. No-one ever found out what happened to the cash.
