First, there was Mt. Dew....

Then, there was Code Red.

Then...Livewire...for a summer...although it later returned.

Then...there was Pitch Black....and then they made a sequel.

I am not sure how one makes a sequel to a drink, but they did it. []

Do any of you guys drink monster?
I fucking love monster.

It's my super nerd fuel for when I need to go into super nerd mode, stay up for two days straight or just generally wake myself right the fuck up.

I just come in, sit down and have a nice cold can of wake the fuck up then destroy all the tasks and obstacles before me.

I've been known to glug down an entire 32 oz. can of Monster...and then want more. []

My dad tried a can of Monster once, to keep him awake while he was driving at night

He was super jittery

I tried a small dose. Not my kind of taste, and I definitely do not want that stuff in me. I think my heart would implode

I'm a huge A&W Root Beer lover.

It is a very bad idea for me to drink Monster. Being a bubbly and distractable person by nature, my energy is augmented by like 300% while my impulse control drops to zero. Unless I am occupied by something to do, like an amusement park, when on Monster I have the ability to do and say things that I will regret entirely.
It's like being drunk, but you're incredibly aware of it the whole time.
Plus it tastes like sugar-tainted gasoline. Less so than Red Bull, but it does not taste good.

Mountain Dew(or Mtn Dew as it is now branded) is not a very good sippin' soda. It's far too full of sugar and caffeine to taste good unless it is extremely cold, and ice will make it watery very quickly. I once spent an entire summer consuming Pepsi products every day. Mountain Dew is not for me, this is certain. Diet Mountain Dew is something my dad sometimes likes to drink. I don't know if it's just me, but it kind of burns my throat. Like I imagine uric acid would.
IBC Root Beer is the best. I much prefer draft-style root beers to creamy ones like A&W.

Root beer is another thing that's a complete mystery to me. I have no idea what to imagine that to taste like. These are all things I hear about but have never been able to try, I've only had Oreos for the first time like a week ago.

Speaking of Oreos, I cant be the only creature in existence that doesn't adore them. They're not bad, just...well.. They're just there. They aren't really anything, good or bad. Just thoroughly mediocre.

They're pretty good, yah. They are so crumbly they coat my teeth, which is not preferable. Part of my enjoyment of them is nostalgia, I suppose.

So question: Have you ever made anything happen? Anything you couldn't explain? Like making glass disappear in a snake exhibit? Just asking. []

Sometimes when I'm watching a TV show, and there's a scene where water splashes all over or something, I'll feel a tiny droplet of water hit my face.

Either my senses are messing with me or I'm a reality bender.

Senses are messing with you. Take this gif for example:

The "Just asking" thread...[] - Page 2 E09Ud

Can't you hear the giant thump every time it lands? Its an image though, there's no sound! The thing is your brain constantly fills in missing information, like in these optical illusions. The shaking of the camera tricks your brain into "feeling" the shaking of the earth through the power of suggestion, and your brain then fills in the missing details, namely the sound. Same situation in the water drop thing, except the sense of touch is stronger because its both visual and auditory.

I think this is called "cognitive dissonance" but this might be me diagnosing you with strep throat.

I think everyone's offended someone here at least once. It happens, and not even intentionally. You control what you say, but you can't control someone's taking offense. []

I think that's fair enough. I'd just like everyone to know that everything I say is laced with a gratuitous amount of hyperbole, and none of it is meant to offend anyone.
