Just want to mention that I'm Roman Catholic.

And I'm a Mormon

I was raised sort of catholic. Sort of, because I was baptised, went to a catholic school and all that but I never really went to church regularly or anything like that

Non-denomnational. My family belives that the denomnations are non-Biblical, we are one church of God. But somehow I'm glad that there are denominations so that when one of them does something stupid, it's less likely that Christains as a whole will be blaimed.
And now looking back, I rephrase what I said earlier. The Puritains and the West Bure(I have no clue how you spell it) Baptist Church are the closeest to voilent. I find that the Puritans are the ones that annoy with how they contantly speak out, often yelling, about when people are sinning. The West Bure Baptist church however, is part fo the reason that I'm kinda gland that there is a deninational wall between us and they aren't in my town. They picket funnerals of atheists, other religons, gays(who I'm not a fan of myself, both as a Christains and as a person, but wouldn't do anything like that), ect. ect ect. I hate them with every fiber of my being. I don't hate them for being West Bure Baptist church mebers, I hate them because they give other Christans a bad name, like the torrests that the US is fighting give a bad name for Muslims.

I was raised Protestant, but, like I said, I feel that the Bible doesn't have all of the answers, so we should only stick to the basics (1o Commandments, etc.) And go from there.

I was raised Catholic but not very well - baptised, etc. Hardly ever went to mass. Got told to by my mother while she was refusing to go which basically made nine year old me go "what the hell is this."

I believe there's a supernatural element to the universe but as for God I don't know and if there's a benevolent God it doesn't matter so long as I try to be a good person anyway.

Raised somewhat Catholic (pretty much the same as Gorgro)--> decided I didn't like organised religion, became sort of agnostic --> decided I had no reason to believe in any god whatsoever, became atheistic --> decide ah fuck it, became Germanic Neopagan because it's awesome.

That sounds like the most badass religion ever, or some kind of dragon cult.

Yes, but it is no surprize that both Lucas and the movie makers didn't take note of that. There are little big time moves that fully abide the laws of pysics and common sence.

Star Trek tends to be more scientifically accurate with their space science than Star Wars if you are interested.

Mass effect 2, in the introduction, handles the lack of mass effect on sound (see what I did there?) pretty well really.

So, since the last debate seems to have fizzled out I will present a new one.

Recently, so many people in Britain have signed an e-petition to strip convicted rioters of their benefits that the government has to consider it.
Since governments are bloody useless, shall we get around to that for them?

The debate is now: "Should people convicted of taking part in riots or similar public order offences have any state benefits they receive stripped from them? Why?/Why not?"

Yes. Unless it's the whole "overthrowing the regime" kind of riot, there's no reason you can't protest peacefully, without destroying the property of innocent outsiders. They need to feel that their actions actually have bigger consequences than a frown from the cops or a fine. Depending on what these benefits are (not familiar with UK government workings) and whether the punishment is temporary or not, this seems like a decent alternative to straight up prison.
