Working on this one, I feel like I'm deciphering ancient languages here, all of the awesome feeling. I have to meet my friends soon, but I'll try to figure it out later.

If I am at all correct, this one starts with "We the people of the...", maybe that helps others to solve it while I'm gone.

Okay...here's a script I just rediscovered, that I'd made a couple years ago...it's a bit more straightforward, but the letters aren't necessarily related at all to the Latin alphabet, since I made them up to suit my purposes:

Couple hints:

(1) It's written left-to-right.
(2) All punctuation (commas, periods, colons, quotation marks) is normal.
(3) The letters are all pretty distinct from each other, so if something looks just *slightly* different, it's probably the same letter.
(4) It's phonetic, so words might not be "spelled" the same as in normal English. [ ]

Must say, this one is harder, I have less to base it on.

Progress so far: the very first letter is an "a" in any case, that's all I've got.

UPDATE: The third letter, the one that looks like an o, is in fact the "s" sound, not completely sure what the accent that is on it sometimes means yet.

I have to go to sleep soon, so someone else (I'm looking at you Sash, you promised on Tinychat) can go on with my progress and possibly solve it.

Tasha has a fancy project!
For all future cosplaying events, and heck maybe even whenever I just want to wear it; I'm making a Star Trek TOS uniform dress (dat miniskirt ooh), the likes of this:

The dress is actually fairly complicated (all those pleats, several types of fabrics, and it has to be very fitted and tailored), luckily I've found the pattern and instructions on a Star Trek forum. (For free too, they usually cost quite a bit of money.)
For anyone interested, I've put the instructions and fabric specifications in spoilers.

Instructions:

I've bought all my fabrics and stuff today:

1: Patterning paper.
2: Rich red uni-stretch fabric for main dress (got about 3.5 metres). (Looks a bit darker/redder in real life, camera made it look slightly pinkish.)
3: Zipper in same colour as main fabric.
4: Same coloured thread.
5: Two different kinds of wavy golden-woven lint, which I'll try to combine to make a nice Rank trim for the sleeves.
6: Stretchy thick black fabric for the collar (0.25 metres).

Only thing I'm missing I think, is the patch. I think I'll order this one.


With the price of the patch already added in, I'll be at a total of about 35 dollars. Good investment, because if I'd bought even the cheapest costume version (that doesn't even look like the real thing at all), with shipping included, I'd have been at 60 dollars.
Extra thanks to my mom who'll probably end up doing the real work; drawing the patterns and sewing the thing together. She's very excited about this and it's super sweet. :3

Got almost-knee-high black boots today and black-tinted sheer stockings for my TOS dress, why can't I dress in Star Trek uniform everyday.

Am still trying to finish that uniform but it's so much work. If I don't finish it in time (convention is Saturday), I'll wear this one I have:

But I will do my best to make the red replica happen though, would be all of the awesome.

(Also, apparently this is the description of that dress I bought: 'ThinkGeek is not responsible for Captain Kirk hitting on you if you wear this dress. It's just that purdy (and you are, too!).' Kirk, do your worst, I am prepared.)
