I have dreamweaver cs3 at the office. Will probably use. I keep meaning to learn php, but...*he's coding! He's coding! i need a crash kit stat!* []

Notepad++ is pretty good, easy to use, lots of helpful features if you like that sort of thing.

Well I was using Dreamweaver this morning, but I just find templates a bit of a hassle...too much of a hassle...only good thing is its code editor, and its FTP client. So back to mostly Notepad.

Couple things for you kids to try out:

Usually I use Python, it's so much cleaner than all the other languages. However, I have been using a lot of perl and I dabble in HTML5.

It was grandfathered in from an old layout...and I didn't feel like changing it.

I'm toying with the idea of setting up an RSS feed for the main/news page, but never done anything like that, so I may just start out editing it by hand. I type quickly.

Would put a twitter feed in there, but I don't update it often enough.

May start a blog. Which service do you guys recommend? I can set up a blogspot thing to redirect to a subdomain on jttheninja.com, it appears, but some of yinz might have more experience/insight. []

UPDATE: Installed some webfonts which are working now despite some setbacks. Looks like the page glitches a bit on low-res/older browsers, so I'll have to tweak the positioning a bit. Other than that, progressing well. []

Site update: Re-designed layout to get rid of <iframe> tags, since frames haven't been cool since the nineties, and it makes it easier to print the thing...

Do you guys have any ideas about a piece of software that might make your lives easier/more awesome? It could be anything, maybe even something out of science fiction. I just need some new ideas for something to develop next year.

A device that auto-codes HTML tables given comma-separated values and some other parameters and can then sort and re-sort that data as well as running queries on it...and outputs the results to HTML...and is free. []

What kind of input would it take, is it ok if the output is sent to a simple txt file and how fast do you need it? (I think I could make this, but I don't have the time right now)

In other news, what can you guys think of that involves the kinect system? I'm positive this thing has some serious potential, but I need some solid ideas to base possible projects on.

Well if it could take a .csv file generated by excel and spit out HTML code, even in a .txt file, that would be cool.

Today, me and someguy got an idea. We want to make a group pic call "Meet The Treehouse". Its simply each member as a Team Forteress 2 class. Here some suggestion for each class:

also, portal gun coming along, i have been making vids to show the progress and i will post them eventually.
i heard that in order to make anything good u must sacrifice: blood, sweat, and tears. to make it worth while.
i've sacrificed sweat, and today i made a blood sacrifice.
i cut my finger open with a detailing knife... XC
it funny cuz i was just using a power saw, a screwdriver and then i got done with that ans started with the detailing knife. not 2 minutes into it i cut my finger open.
in one of the vids i'll post you'll see blood smudges on a section of the portal gun and you'll c my finger wrapped in a bandaide, its still bleeding at that point.
ALSO IT IS VERY HARD TO TYPE USING NOT USING YOUR INDEX FINGER!
