TTBM #4? 5? I don't even-

Everyone is primative compared to us. But for their time, they were quite advanced. They obviously had no need for metal, seeing as how they had built massive stone structures without it. They were quite advanced in their mathmatics, even having invented the Zero by 36BC. Hell, they even had a system of writing.

However, from a military standpoint, you are correct. They stood absoulutly no chance.

They needed human sacrifice as a way of appeasing their god. Most sacrifices weren't willing ones, but prisoners of war rounded up specifically for their ritual slaughter. It was one of the things about their society that cultivated the need for conquest.

The Aztec Empire, taking up the greater part of what is today Mexico, was built on the foundations of the long-gone Mayans. They did not cower in the face of a greater power like Spain. Much of what we know about the Aztecs come from the journals of the Spanish conquistadors as well as study of the ruins still standing in what has become Mexico City.

TTBM: I think I'm starting to crack under the pressure. Don't know what the pressure is, maybe school, maybe projects, maybe friends, but I just feel like I'm losing it. Worst of all, since I don't know what's causing the pressure, I spend nights worrying about whatever happened last, even if it was stupid like worrying about what's happening on a show I don't watch. Feel kinda like I'm going crazy.

I know the feeling. Deciding to work one day in the week next to my classes in college might have been a bad decision. At least I'll get paid for it, but I have a feeling it might have a negative effect on my schoolwork and on my sanity in general. The up side is that one of my classes is Game Development, and that when this semester finishes, I'll have a bachelor's degree and three whole months to play Skyrim non stop. Or recover from a serious case of burnout, whichever seems more appropriate.

I know how it feels. Work, jerks, and stress. And being insane already doesn't help. Neither does the fact that I imagine killing people every day.

For story telling. Their all from story telling. There are a few that are marked "Sirst place in the Marabe Story Festival," but thier all from story telling.
However, I do have a differnt room set aside for some of my fine arts... each has it's own story.

TTBM: People who demand I fax them things. Who the hell still uses fax machines in this day and age? Those things should have been phased out about 15 years ago.

We still use faxes quite extensively in my office. []

Politics is a thing that bugs me. How one person can be so logical and the minute they join a group, take a side, or forge a bond, they take it upon themselves to be defensive, ignorant of issues, and unreasonable is beyond me.
Actually, no it's not. Because I see it all the time. The 'many' is a complete idiot, and an asshole to boot. I have done my share of arguing with those who would not listen to my side. The choice now is to fight or walk away. I have until I get pissed off again to decide.

I find that it is best to keep your views, be they political or religious, to yourself. I always do, and it avoids alot of conflict.


However, if someone is doing something so against you beliefs that you have to do something (Like, I dont know.... Burning the flag or something. Or talking bad about your country or religion.) Then you have to fight. You have to stand, and make yourself known. If someone tries to burn the flag, or something like that, Im going to go over there and knowck the Fuck's teeth out. You just dont do that. Hell, if someone is badmouthing any viewpoint I tend to knok them down. That shit dont fly with me. (Unless its just humor.)

The worst is insisting on using the postal service.
My recently unemployed buddy won't be getting his benefits until his cheque comes in the mail/next week.

Thing is, he drew attention to the whole mess when the benefits people could have phoned the Post Office and said "Yes, this guy is way cool, totally pay him, we're amending our records right now."


Similar things happen to me with getting hospital records.
They refuse to e-mail them, they refuse to accept that I am me despite every proof I can provide, they must be mailed out.
This is stupid.
Not just the refusal to use technology but the refusal to print off records and hand them to people with INTERNATIONALLY ACCEPTED ID.

This nearly lost me my college year because I couldn't get records to prove my previous failure was caused by medical roblems in time.

It's legal to burn the flag in the United States. I don't see why that would piss you off. If everyone's entitled to their opinion, and it's a peaceful protest, why would that bother you?

The flag, contrary to some people's views, is not just a flag. It's a symbol. It's a symbol of the United States. A symbol of what we stand for, of what we have been through. Someone burning the flag, for whatever reason, is burning the symbol of my nation. I dont care if they are burning it to protest child abuse, (Or whatever) they are still burning my flag.

This nation is Our nation. That flag is as much mine as it is the president's. And when you burn my stuff, I punch you in the throat.

It would be like someone coming to your house, and burning all your family photos.


Thats just my opinion though. Im not really a patriot, but I will defend my country. I will defend it's honor, its people, and its land, and the flag symblifies all of those things.
