TTBM: Mother. Again.
Her and her fiancé are apparently broken up or on a break or some other stupid shit now. I don't care, to be honest.

What I do care about is that I'm the nearest guy and now everything is five times more my fault than it already was.

It's apparently my fault that the house is full of crap she keeps on buying.
I can't just start throwing shit out; it's not my stuff.
My stuff occupies one room, plus my pool table is up against a wall out in the utility room/scullery.
She has three closets full of clothes. Literally full to bursting.
She has a room and a half full of shoes.

Her fiancé and myself were fixing the bathroom pipe - in other words he was fixing it and I was helping.
Now it is my fault I don't know shit about sewage pipes and DIY.

If I was studying something even vaguely related I'd understand, but seriously, what the fuck?

Earlier today I asked "Is it ok if I go for a walk or do you need some more help?"
She started bitching about selfish I am and how no one helps her do shit and blah blah blah poor her blah blah blah why don't you want to help with the baby blah blah blah.

I don't give a shit, she dug her own fucking grave and filled it with useless crap she doesn't want to get rid of.

It is exactly 50% her fault that she has another baby and 50% her fiancé's fault.
I am not involved here.
It is not, nor will it ever be, my responsibilty to ensure that other people are using contraception properly.
I know they weren't using contraception properly because I found a pamphlet on how to use contraception in the house after she became pregnant.

Stupid bitch didn't even tell me she was pregnant, I figured it out long before she started to show and she almost had the baby in front of me when I was all "So, you're pregnant, right?"

TTBM 1: An international conference that I'm helping to organise has had to stop taking registrations because we're full. Literally full to capacity. We cannot fit any more people in. And yet people on the Host Team still want to get their friends in, even when there's a queue of about 20 people, because their friends "really really really want to come, and it'd be really mean not to let them." I don't care. 590 people managed to register on time, so your friend can just jog on.

TT REALLY BM: The Socials events (the people who are organising which are essentially the equivalent of giving teenage girls Daddy's credit card and telling them to have a party) is already 300% overbudget. For a Circus night (don't ask me what the hell that has to do with the UN (and I've already said that one)), we've gone from having a fire-eater to having everything you'd find at a circus short of Dumbo.

But one event is being held at the Australian War Memorial Museum, and the Socials team have hired a DJ. And lights. And have turned it into a rave.

A Rave. At a war memorial. A war memorial that is intended for remembering our fallen soldiers, and the ones who came back.

I have friends in the military. I have had family serve in both World Wars, including the Gallipoli landings, the Sinai desert, and Malta. Not all of my family came back, and some of my friends have lost their friends in recent years, weeks and days. Four Australian soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan in the past two weeks, and these Socials girls are throwing a goddamn rave at a site which for all intents and purposes can be considered holy ground.

Sometimes this generation sickens me...

ttbm: i got a posable mannequin on a stand to help me with posing the characters in the comic, but the joints dont all move correctly or as flexibly as i'd like
the hips dont rly move at all. i can move the legs forwards and backwards at the hip joint but not sideways. luckily, legs usually arent to bad for me to draw as long as i get the important part of the pose down.
also i need a name for the mannequin... because we name everything here.

So, has anyone come to the idea of forcing these idiots to join the army and take part in Operation Leroy Jenkins? Because it'd work for me.

TTBM: when I play videos on Youtube (or elsewhere? haven't checked yet) there's no sound coming through on them. The speakers are working: I've checked them. Very mysterious.

I know I might sound stupid, but...

is the mute button pressed? Sometimes the mute button is pressed, and I think it's the speakers as well

Have you tried switching it off and on again?

A fair question, someguy, but unfortunately the mute button isn't pressed. I clicked on the desktop volume icon and when you click on a point on the volume slider it makes a "ding" sound.

But seriously, it could be your browser if the volume seems to be working on your desktop but not online.
Try playing a song or something you have saved on the machine.

TTBM: So apparently I suck at driving again.
After doing pretty well yesterday, today, for whatever reason, I was confused, not paying very good attention, and at one point, was on the verge of running straight into busy traffic while turning.
The message at the top of the forum could easily apply to my driving today if you replaced "computers" with "automoblile."

On a seperate note, I got a ride home from my brother and a friend of his in said friend's pickup truck. What followed was driving that made mine look downright safe. To give you an idea, this was a guy who saw no problem with texting while turning a corner.

I now know what it is like to fear for my life.

Fear not. My sister recently went for a driving lesson. According to the instructor, she has a 'passion for life', as she charges into everything full-speed. She hasn't been for another lesson...

TTBM: I had another fucking seizure like ten minutes after I woke up on Sunday morning.
My mother is acting like her break up is more stressful than my body staging a fucking mutiny every so often and kept trying to make me mind the baby all that day and yesterday, even though I was post ichtal as fuck.

TTBM (Actually, there's 2. One serious, one funny when you think about it):

TTBM 1: Another big quake back home in Christchurch, bigger than the one in February. All my family and friends are OK, but my Gran is starting to lose it a little. And I can't get there because of the ash cloud from the damn Chilean volcano. I want to be there to help her out, but I can't, and it frustrates the hell out of me.

TTBM 2 (slightly funny): Came home from a meeting and saw a family member who, earlier today, had a colonoscopy (camera goes where the sun don't shine to check for anomalies). And while looking at plans for an apartment (after a few beers) a song popped into my head that I immediatly sang:

"I'm a little lighthouse, short and stout,
Open my mouth and the light shines out..."

I may or may not have just come home from a meeting and a few beers...

TTMB: CCP (who operate EVE Online) got hit by a DDoS attack this morning. No details were lost, but unstable connection all day.

Although, on the funny side, the meeting I went to last night was all aobut cyber-warfare, and we talked about DDoS.
