You may have heard gravel each time I spoke.
I work in caves of dripping gloom;
You see me first as the crack of doom.

Just transplanting. Also, Semi is wrong on all counts.

A man was found dead. It was obvious he committed suicide. He was hanging on a noose in the center of the room. There was no furniture in the room. His feet were burned, but there were no ashes in the room. How was his feet burned?

I know this riddle is somewhat dark, but it was the on;y riddle that came to mind.

Is it burned by fire or burned by something extremely cold?

This question I will not answer (for that take the fun out of the riddle), but I will say that you are on the right track.

Well there are no ashes makes me think it was something cold that melted and the puddle dried. Maybe he stood on something frozen, and when it melted it left no evidence. If he stood on something that burned by fire, there would at least be scuff marks where the burning object was.

Would it be simple as a very large igloo, or even just an ice block/pile?

What kind of ice?

Hmmm...it's probably not regular ice. I'm thinking dry ice, or a large solid ice block.

I was going to guess rope burn from climbing up the rope then slipping. Or something. Oh well. Guess not.

Bowen has some riddles:

1) I got it in the woods so I sat down to find it. When I couldn't find it I gave up and took it with me.
What was it?

And

2) The rich man needs it, the poor man has it. However, if either were to eat it, they would die.
What is it?

Well, you both got 2 right.

As for the tick, no. But that's the right line of thinking.

Wait what was it? Also I have a riddle, will post it soon! This one is more of a situational riddle. This one might also be easy.

A woman comes home from shopping and enters her house. When passing the living room, she gazes lovingly at her dead husband before getting ready for guests to arrive. When her guests, normal average people from the neighborhood arrive, there is no cause of alarm for the dead husband in the living room, where the party is taking place. Why is this?
