RT: Obama looked out the window into the crowd.. This was going to certainly be a significant speech, as it seemed like all of D.C. had come to listen. May held up signs, some supportive of him, others not so much, but they all reflected just how big a part they felt he played in the lives of Americans all over the nation.
One particularly dissident sign made his heart start pounding, and Barack had to take several deep breaths just to bring himself down from his boiling point. He was almost through with his term, and had thankfully gone through it all without having a moment in front of a crowd, but as the 2012 election grew closer, he found that it was becoming harder and harder to control himself. Failing now would not only ruin his chances of ever being elected to any public office again, but it would also leave him irreedemable in American history.
Obama began to worry even more when he thought about having to contain himself for another four years, should he win a second term. There would be entirely new stresses to deal with, new late nights, new early mornings, new paperwork, new critics, and worst of all, new public appearances. What was chained inside of him, what had been kept under control for so long would have another four years to try and break free. And if it did, his name, his parents' name, his wife's name, and his children's name would forever be tainted.
He considered just dropping out of the election and being done with the first term, but he decided against that. The press had an easy enough time calling him weak, so he didn't need to give them one last thing to mock him with. He could find a way to manage.
He hoped.
Obama looked up when he heard the White House's press secretary give the cue that it was just about time. He stepped out onto the balcony alongside Joe Biden and John Boehner, and the crowd roared with applause. Maybe this wouldn't be as difficult as he had previously that it would be.
But, as the noise died down and he took in a deep breath, Barack noticed a group in audible distance of him, chanting slogans that spoke out against him. "NOBAMA, 2012! HE'S WHAT'S BAD FOR OUR COUNTRY!"
Feeling his blood begin to boil, Obama internally begged for either the group to be quited, or that he might find the strength to ignore them. No such luck, as he kept hearing them chant, and head began pounding with intense seething rage. He could no longer hold it in. The beast was breaking its chains.
Obama's outward demeanor, so far relatively unchanged, all of a sudden began reflecting his emotional state, as he shot a death glare at the group. This glare appeared to be very evident, as the group stopped chanting and froze when they saw it. He began to shake, unnoticably at first, but within seconds, it could be seen even from the crowd. A murmur began to break out from the people, and those standing with Obama, Joe, John, other officials, and the Secret Service, looked at each other with concern. They, like the crowd, had no idea what was happening, but were too confused to do anything.
"What's
bad?" Obama hissed into the microphone, immediatley hushing the crowd.
"WHAT'S BAD!?"The beast had taken over.
