How can you not be fond with cheese. There are some foods that if they didn't have cheese, they would taste like crap. Mac and Cheese would be one.

More specifically, it's a Linux distribution, or operating system (like Windows) packaged with it's own collection of open source software.
Also, since Red Hat's latest release was version 9 in 2004, I can only assume it's like that because it's been set up somewhere in the stone age.
