I know this dream website that tells you what certain symbols in a dream represent. I don't know how accurate these are, but it's interesting nevertheless.

JT_the_Ninja wrote:Guys, I had the most awesome dream last night! We were all hanging out at Driscoll's house I KID YOU NOT. I don't remember much of what happened anymore, but we met all the wild animals he adopted (including a white bear cub, a black bear cub, some squirrels, owls, and several cats, which aren't wild, but whatever). But yeah, it was pretty awesome.

Also, Bill Gates was doing a presentation in MS-DOS in one of the bedrooms of my house....that was unrelated, I think.

So ITT: Awesome dreams you have had. This is serious business. []

According to the website;

To see animals in your dream, represent your own physical characteristic, primitive desires, and sexual nature, depending on the qualities of the particular animal. Animals symbolize the untamed and uncivilized aspects of yourself. Thus, to dream that you are fighting with an animal signifies a hidden part of yourself that you are trying to reject and push back into your subconscious. Refer to the specific animal in your dream.

To dream that animals can talk, represent superior knowledge. Its message is often some form of wisdom. Alternatively, a talking animal denotes your potential to be all that you can be.

Because you saw Bill Gates, the website says;

To see a celebrity in your dream, represents your beliefs and understanding about him or her. Consider what the celebrity is famous or known for and how you relate to that quality. Something in your waking life has triggered these similar beliefs and feelings. It is not uncommon that your obsession with a certain celebrity may carry over onto your dream world. Celebrities are often seen as heroes and all that is mighty. Also consider any puns within the name.

For Tuomey;

Tuomey wrote:Oh christ where to begin.

I suppose that dream where it started off with me dying, having a bit of an afterlife, resurrection and whatnot.. I kinda forget.

To dream that you die in your dream, symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Although such a dream may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm as it is often considered a positive symbol.

To dream that you are born again, indicates that you need to deal with issues that you have been avoiding. You may have been given a second chance to regain what was previously thought to be lost. Alternatively, the dream means that you are starting or entering a new stage in your life. You are looking toward the future instead of dwelling on the past.

This is the website here:

I don't have dreams that I can remember, but for about an hour before I fall asleep I think crazy things, mingled with what I have been doing/reading/watching/playing.
Like for example, I had been playing Age of Empires earlier that day, and when plotting the downfall of enemies, I thought.. "Yeah... I'll get them... Wait... What civilisation are they? I need to know that first. Damn, why can't I remember..."
(Like I said, I think CRAZY things. I won't actually plot peoples downfall properly. I don't think, anyway.)

Oy...lot of ModNation Racers dreaming last night...crazy track designing.

Also, visiting a newly furnished office space that, guess what, wasn't going to be for my division, but for a newly created division...argh...and it was really cool-looking and not a basement.

Most else is a blur at this point, unfortunately.

Oh, and thanks Spooky for the info. []

The last dream I had was:

I was trapped in a glass box looking up while people slowly buried me. I was then riding in a jeep escaping a tidal wave.

Yeah I don't know..

I've said this before, but my dreams reflect my day-to-day life. In my dreams, there is always a clear objective that I am racing to complete, usually to find something important that I lost. In real life, I am always misplacing things. Most often, in my dreams, I will loose my shirt and spend most of my dream looking for it, getting freaked out because it keeps moving around of its own accord. I never particularly cared that people could stare at my breasts, and no one ever did, really, except a casual glance, as if you noticed I had my hair in a ponytail. I only knew that I freaking needed my shirt! Ugh, it is so frustrating to wake up from a dream with a sense of urgency, even if there's nothing you have to get done. Horray for irrational anxiety!

Once, I woke up half asleep after a dream, looked at my pillow, and told it something. I think it was a swear. I can't tell, after saying that, I fell back asleep and the next morning, I couldn't remember what I said.

when i was a kid i hallucinated an alien (or mad scientist idk) coming into my room and staring at me. i was convinced it wanted to kidnap me and experiment on me. and i talked to it i remember saying that it shouldn't take me away because it would not like me. idk i was trying to convince it that i was an imperfect specimen to take. i was so scared that i hid under my blanket.

i also used to be afraid of my room when it was dark. but in order to turn off the light i had to use a switch near my door, then walk across my room to hide in my bed. so after i would shut the light off i would creep along the floor and keep my back to the wall as i slowly made my way to my bed. on my door was a picture of the phantom from the play "phantom of the opera" and i thought of it as a protector.

ever have one of those dreams where you go through a day or aspects of it, wake up and realize thar none of it happened? that happens to me sometimes

Yeah, I had a dream like that once. I was waking up and getting up for school, and then I woke up AGAIN and I was like asdfjkslkdjs.
When I first moved into my bedroom there was nothing in it but my bed and a beanbag. My bed was in the center of the room and the first night I spent in there, it was so dark I was afraid I had gone blind. I kept straining to see some moonlight coming in through the window, to make sure I could still see. I was too terrified to move.

Last night I had a really obscure dream. And I owe it to two things I'd watched on TV recently;
Before I went to bed, I was watching a Drama based on a true story 'Whitechapel' (A case about the Cray Gangsters of London), more notably, a scene of epic boxing between the criminal & the detective.
The other factor was... The weather! In particular, severe Gales along the West Coast. It beats me how it ended up in my dream!
Anyway, this morning, I woke up quite early, after having dreams I can't recall. I was very tired, the morning (and the rest of the day in fact) was bitterly cold. So I decided to go back to sleep.

I was in a mall with a female partner (no idea who it was; human, brown hair, nobody I recognise) and we were standing outside a store, happily chatting; until a man came along, and stole the handbag of my companion.
I immediately gave chase, gesticulating to her that she follow me. It turned out that after 5 minutes of chasing (roughly), he had been working at the car dealership inside, and he had jumped into a Portal. I jumped in, my friend following, and we ended up being transported into the middle of the Channel between Wales & Ireland, and we had to swim to a small isle in between; called Gales. So for roughly a mile, we swam there, and managed to crawl up the steep rocky surface.
When I came to the top, I immediately saw the beauty of the island. It had one Temple above all, and the rest was made up of small subterranean homes, with large rock-buildings aesthetically.
For some reason, people lived in co-existence with foxes. (I don't know why, I honestly don't) But after seeing the island, I finally confronted the thief, and it turns out that somehow, the only way to 'honourably' take care of him was to have a boxing match.
It was very short, the only rule I can remember was to not hit above the neck. But the ring was essentially the tip of the island, and only a few seconds in, I'd forced him by the side, and both desperately sparring, I caught him in the head with a left hook. A voice said; Hey! That's above the Neck! (The show yesterday had a similar scene, where the criminal hit the protagonist in the groin, and the referee said: "Hey! That's below the belt!")
But the momentum of the punch carried him, and before falling off the side, he waved goodbye in a mock-polite manner and fell.
I turned my back, with the female companion now resting her head on my shoulder and walking slowly away from the cliffside with me, as I hung my head in shame. Even though I'd won, the finishing blow had been illegal (either that, or we never retrieved her bag).

I actually felt really satisfied after that dream, I found it one of the coolest things my imagination brought up in dream, where I would be lucky enough to live it in motion.

Well the most recent dream I can remember is where I am driving a vehicle but I am unable to control it or bring it to a halt. I can wrestle with the wheel and try to avoid obstacles like friends and family but the vehicle crashes but doesn't come to a stop.

I think it is an allegory for the current events in my life seemingly spinning out of control

I once dreamt that I was driving through Norway at night with my parents. Suddenly, I heard a whale song! Naturally, I jumped out of our car, which for some reason was a minivan, and landed in the snow where I immediately stripped to my skivvies. Then, I jumped into the icy Black Sea and began talking to my good friend, Mr. Whale.

This is just one of my many nonsensical dreams that I for some reason will forever remember.

Haven't really had any "weird" dreams lately, but I've been dreaming about homework assignments I did the previous night, or schedules and deadlines I have to meet. Even in sleep I can't escape school.

What were we doing exactly?

Okay, absolute ridiculousness last night...don't remember all of it, but this part stands out distinctly still:

I was the genie from Aladdin, only I was me...and I had angered someone, so he/she/it had sent after me those things from the animated series that are genie killers whose name I can't recall right now and were never mentioned by name in the dream anyway. Except they looked like Nero's ship from Star Trek (2009), only much smaller and more squid-like...and it/they was chasing me around my yard (we were both/all flying).

However, I remembered that it/they couldn't see reflections or anything being reflected, so I hid by passing over the raindrops and dew on the ground, then slipped away unseen down the street a bit, where I hid by floating close enough to the puddles of water on the street that I would be reflected...and then I was floating by these strange pastel-coloured waterfalls of thick liquid that was somehow connected to the Chinese communist government, but then I realized that the thing/s chasing me had given up, not being able to find me, so I returned home.

Cannot recall what happened after that for a bit, but eventually I was walking/flying through a hotel lobby or something, and saw secret-agent/mafia type people, which I suspected were the genie killers again, but they managed to trap me because they led me into a trap that was part Thursday Next, part Inception, and I guess part Matrix, whereby suddenly I was in an enclosed room. So the walls were covered with big mirrors, and I stayed close to them, transitioning quickly from mirror to mirror, trying to find an exit (the head agent/mafioso guy saying that I'd learned quickly). They couldn't see me, but knew where I was anyway I guess, since they followed close behind me (on the ground). Eventually I ran out of mirrors and was only passing in front of non-reflective surfaces, so I couldn't hide anymore. Then the head guy pulled out some kind of telescope/cardboard tube/megaphone thing, which I flew down inside and grabbed, pulling it out of his grasp. Apparently it was his voice, because I used it to order them all to go away, and they did, thinking I was the boss...

...and then later, I was walking outside and saw one of them (a fairly cute, bookish-type woman) trying to get down from a window, so I made her fall to the pavement and break her neck...for which she thanked me...and...I felt a bit ambiguous about doing it all the same...and...

...after that I can't remember anything...yeah...[]
