I read somewhere that it's due to our brains having two separate controls for "sleep" and "awake" and the tiniest rest your brain gets - either daydreaming, nodding off or zoning out to either television or internet satisfies the part of the brain needing sleep enough that youre triggered awake.

TTBM: I just saw my cello teacher on campus and she was all "what are you doing here?" and I was like "studying" and she was like "for what?!"

You are. Why are you even questioned on that? Kind of reminds me of the teachers that take jabs at education to seem cool or relatable. Once had this teacher who would scoff at students staying behind to study.

Well, yeah. Thanks for pointing out I live in a first world country. But one, I'm perfectly allowed to have a bad day, and two, I'm not angry because I don't live in a mansion or eat 5 star meals every night, I'm angry because of something that happened to me that day that has nothing to do with poor people in poor countries

I was tying to empathize with your situation by saying how I been having similar problems.

And Charles, sometimes perspective helps people deal with tough times. When my house burned down I felt awful but having realizations that I did not die nor did any of my family actually helped me feel better. And if you are going to get mad at something, get mad at the hedonistic treadmill.

TTBM: I have to half move into my dorm today (only staying there for one night now, moving in permanently Sunday), and I'm so stressy I can't even eat, ahh, I will forget everything I need there probably. Tomorrow is the introduction day for first year bachelor students in biology, but what if I don't make any friends or no one even remotely likes me, I don't know how to social outside of the internet you guys. Also even just living alone when you're 17 is scary, and I'm too nervous to even go into the kitchen and cook my food because other people who live in the building will be there judging me and I'll probably do everything wrong somehow.
Someone come with me and permanently hug me till it's all over ok.
