TTBM #4? 5? I don't even-

TTBM: This fucking city I live in. Sometime between 9pm last night and 4pm today someone broke into my shed. The only thing they took? A FUCKING BIKE. MY BIKE. I hate this fucking city.

My new train isn't working. We never seem to have any luck with trains from this manufacturer.

TTBM: My Atari Pong (yes, the original) is going to arrive this weekend, and I'll be out of state...hoping it doesn't rain, although it'll be on the covered porch in a relatively safe neighborhood.

Oh, and so will my APF TV Fun be arriving while I'm out...fun. [ ]

Could a neighbour take it inside for you? I'm assuming you don't have a shed or something it can be put in.

Not familiar enough with any of my neighbors that I'd lend them a key to the house, unfortunately. But I'm sure they'll be fine. [ ]

Hah...Well I've enlisted a friend to take in the mail and make sure the moo cat hasn't destroyed everything for the next couple days. [ ]

TTBM: Never again will I go to DC in July...I'd forgotten how hot it gets...ugh. And of course I forgot to bring sunblock. Fortunately it only got to my neck and forearms (the top of my head was protected by my ever-stylish fedora), but still...the heat and humidity were just oppressive (like the government yuk yuk yuk). TTBM: UK, get with the Eurozone already, you're causing me so much trouble! My stupid bank messed up, so now I get to take a train to another town tomorrow morning, where they have a currency exchange bureau. And then hope that it's an actual, legit exchange office, and that they'll have the pounds I ordered ready, or I'll be screwedddd.

Silly foreign money, acting all weird, being worth more than normal American Funbucks.

TTBM: STUPID TRAINS. Okay sorry, Jonny, trains are cool, but not today. I need to get to that exchange office, the train ride is like 15 minutes, but the train decides to be 30 minutes late, just because it can. Which means I won't be on time to catch the train that I'd normally take back to my town either, which means I'll be on the way for hours. I'm supposed to meet friends in an hour aaughhh.

Maybe the train was late because there was a horrific derailment

No, don't worry about it. Basically, I think model trains have something called "speed steps": the more steps you have, the more accurately you can control the speed. This new engine has something like 127 steps, so you need to to turn it up to about 50 mph before it starts to move.

It can be dangerous to run trains around at high speeds if the curvature of your track is too tight, but since this is a very small engine and it doesn't go that fast anyway, it's not a problem.
