4. Stef, are you coming or not?
Yay, I'm so happy you're serious about this, we'd love for you to come!
I'll try and explain everything fully so you can make plans as soon as possible.
1. As I told you on Facebook, Gorgro has the first week of September off, so arriving in that week would be perfect.
Just today we decided we might go to London from September 1st to 3rd (just two nights) though. I'll let you know tomorrow if we're going or not so you know not to come during those days yet. (Unless you can somehow come to London too, but that would take a lot of planning.)
If that period of time doesn't work for you though, you're welcome to come in August already as well ^^ Gorgro just won't be able to do everything with us since he has to work weekdays. (He has all evenings and weekends off though, so you'd still get to hang out with him loads!)
I'll be home all day all of August, so you don't need to worry about being alone or bored.
Keep in mind that Gorgro and I don't get the key to our house until August 4th, so best come after that date. (You can come very soon after that if you want, we don't need to do any painting or renovating, just moving in our stuff).
2. It's your vacation, you can decide how long you want to stay :p Just let me know how long you'd like to stay and I'll check if it's ok (it probably will be).
3. It's hard to give you an amount, I don't really know what you'd spend, also since I don't know exactly what we'll visit/do every day yet. A good thing is, I'll usually cook every day, so you don't need to eat out every day like you usually would on holiday, which would be quite expensive. So yay, more money for fun stuff! (Assuming you like my Belgian cooking.) If you stay for a fairly long time, I hope it's ok if we ask you to chip in on the food costs a bit, we live off one salary ourselves, but we'll try to make the trip as expense-free as possible for you.
http://www.budgetyourtrip.com/belgium is a site I just found that tells you what you'll need per day in a certain country. For Belgium, setting the travel style to "Budget", it calculates about €50 or CA$70 a day. Of course you won't have to pay for accomodation though, so we can scratch that part and CA$50/day should hopefully be enough to do fun things.
You can always bring more to be safe, and I think I read that Canadian debit cards work for ATM machines here as well, you can probably ask your bank about that.
When you let me know when you're coming over and how long you'll be staying, I'll be able to plan activities and give you a more exact number for expenses.
4. I AM NOT STEF (shock) BUT I WANT TO RESPOND AS WELL. Stef, you're totes welcome to come over, we have 3 spare beds so it won't be a problem at all. Let me know if you'd like to join Charles so I can plan everything you guys can do over here :3

I typed so much, I hope that was helpful. Ask me any questions you want, I am so excited about people from the forum coming over ^^
