TTBM: MY JOB. THEY HAVE BEEN RUNNING ME RAGGED FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS, WORKING TWO 14-HOUR SHIFTS BACK TO BACK (8 AM - 10 PM) THEN 8 AM TIL 5 PM THE NEXT DAY. This is why I haven't been on the forum for the past few days.

I'm glad it's at least over with (for now) and it's going to look VERY good on my next paycheck so I guess that's something.

I have never seen a group of strangers walk that close to each other, ever. Ever ever ever ever ever. It's not like there's not lots of room to move around, even. The fact that eight people would all pull out their cellphones at the same time is unlikely, in itself. They're all young people, I'm guessing a college teacher's told them to pull out their phones and type something in, gosh, I don't know; maybe it's an orientation class and those are all compasses instead of phones.

Printers run on a mixture of misery and frustration. It also helps if you ritually sacrifice at least 3 goats to the manufacturer.

TTBM: My normal computer is going through the same problem that got fixed less than a month ago. It starts loading up normally and then flashes a bluescreen before restarting itself, and then the proces repeats.

Hrm...here's what I'd recommend.

1. Use another computer to create a flash drive boot disc - go here for instructions. I'd recommend using a small OS like Xubuntu or Lubuntu for this purpose, as it doesn't require a lot of memory.

2. Use the instructions on that page to boot your laptop via the USB drive rather than your hard drive.

3. Your hard drive should still be available/able to be mounted while in live USB mode. Copy all your important files onto another media storage device (another USB pen drive or external hard drive or something of that nature).

4. Re-install your OS of choice on your hard drive. If your laptop came with a Windows OS install disc for restoring purposes, you should be all set. Or, you could just install the OS that's on your flash drive. Note that this will completely wipe your hard disc, so be sure all your important stuff is backed up somewhere.

TTBM: Ate at this great restaurant on Rue St-Paul called Le Cage (it's sort of like a sports bar). Outdoor seating with multiple levels, but it's outdoor between two buildings, so it's airy and still cool, with big tree-looking umbrellas to provide extra shade.

Food was great, except my chicken kebab wasn't cooked all the way through when it arrived...minor inconvenience, but after it came back the second time it was excellent.

Prices weren't all that bad either. Lunch for two including drinks was 32$ (that's how you Canadiens right it, with the dollar sign after, right?). But here's the TTBM part...my mother brought with her a credit card with 0% interest for a year with a low limit for use on the trip...apparently, it was lower than she thought, because it got declined. Fortunately, I had my Visa/ATM card, but yeah...payday can't come soon enough. We'll survive till then, but it was another night at Tiki-Ming in Eaton Centre for dinner...stuff's expensive here...[]

TTBM: Why is my Mum so dang upset by the idea of me lieing on the internet?
So I want to get past the matureity filters on diviantart so I can see some of my old stuff again. The Internet is a web of lies anyways, so why not fudge a little on my age? And it's not even the mature content stuff that she has a problem with, it's the fact that I was lieing on the internet.
