TTBM: The sudden upsurge in Red Bars I'm seeing. I've always appreciated the Treehouse as an open forum, where you can say what you feel. But the recent upsurge in Reds leaves me a bit saddened and makes me seriously think of what it is that I'm writing.

Yeah, I wasn't aware what was posted was that offensive.

TTBM: So my PhD application got turned down.

Apparently, because my Masters degree didn't involve a research component, and as a young undergrad I believed a lecturer when he told me that my writing skills were appalling and that he would not put me forward to study Honours, so I should do a Postgraduate Diploma ("Which is exactly the same thing," he said), I don't have a major research thesis to put forward for proposal.

Which means I need to go down the Masters of Philosophy route, but in order to get funding for that, I need to have been published. Which I haven't.

So here I am, a Masters graduate, applying for casual work at a department store.

Which is why we move to Plan B...

It's not as bad as it seems, fortunately. There are ways of making this work. It's just that funding is my major problem at the moment.

i think a good rule to follow is that if you can make fun of yourself than its good, ziggy lives in texas so she can make fun of both texas and america. just like how rare and i make fun of detroit because we live in michigan.

the truth is that all of those things happened and they are horrible parts of Americas past, we must know the past to not repeat it.

Although honestly I don't care if you guys downvote all my posts. At least it means you're reading them? Most of the time I know when I've posted something questionable but every so often I'll do something terrible without realizing it. Let me tell you, writing this text while knowing that I can play one of the games I wanted to play for such a long time with the press of a button is pure torture.
