Tekken Revolution, a free to play version of Tekken, was released recently on PS3 and it's been a great chance to finally compare it with Street Fighter. I think I'm more of a Tekken guy than a Street Fighter one, to be honest: I find the combos in the former way easier to pull off than the latter. That said, I think Street Fighter has a bit more personality to it.

Xbox One has killed my enthusiasm for the xbox
I mean, it was dying way before this
But now I'm thinking of going PC gaming, maybe PS4.

I honestly can't think of any Xbox One game that would entice me to comply with the consoles ridiculous rules and limitations.

Build whenever you want a new computer. Seriously, between the bloatware, shoddy parts, and inflated price, premades aren't worth it.

I'm trying to make a sort of quick reference guide for Pokemon: things like battle matchups, Pokemon types, that kind of thing. It's going to take forever but it's good to have a project.

Go play Spec Ops: The Line. It looks like a bland CoD clone because, well, it is. It's also one of the best games I've ever played.

Planning to play Kerbal Space Program with some friends when exams are done. No one is allowed to touch it before we play together, first objective is the moon. Expecting explosions and hilarity.

I found Hotel Dusk in a shop the other day for a fiver. There's something about Cing's games that I find oddly compelling: the actual gameplay side of things leaves a lot to be desired, and the story-heavy nature of them means they're only games in a very loose sense. It also doesn't help the dialogue is pretty slow to appear on the screen and can't really be sped up.

But I really like the actual stories themselves. They keep you invested: the characters feel pretty fleshed out and in Hotel Dusk especially Kyle's personality comes across in everything he says and does. I've actually found the sequel, Last Window, on eBay for about a fiver as well: I've seen it go for about twenty in places.

yeah, my enthusiasm for the 360 started dying when i got steam and realized:
THE SALES THE SALES
SO uh yeah.
however if i remember correctly, valve has been working on the steam box, sometimes called the piston, which from what i can tell is basically a console that hooks up to your tv. but since its from valve i would assume you could play all your steam games up on the tv with minimal difficulty. also with controlers

Steam actually has a mode for large screens already and quite a few games work with Xbox 360 controllers. (Personally played Trine 2 and some form of Street Fighter with a controller before)

My plan for when I get my own place is to be able to hook up my PC to a TV, and have basically every major platform combined. Content hub, controller-style gaming if I want to, free multiplayer, upgradable PC graphics and Steam sales. I HAVE A DREAM TODAY.

That's exactly what it is.

You connect to the steam network via the console and you can play the games you bought with the controllers, on the TV. You even have all of your save files on there.

They already made the menu for it. You can activate it on the computer

Okay, first launch Steam from your Start menu

Video Games - Page 31 8LkG3Xa

Next, click the button that says "Big Picture" in the corner.

Video Games - Page 31 8vwiuZS

I realize it may be hard to see, so here I circled it.

Video Games - Page 31 1hVSWqh

That's still pretty hard to see, here's some helpful arrows, and I tried to cross out what you shouldn't click.

Video Games - Page 31 KH0vL3Z

I realize that's still probably hard to tell what to click, so here I tried to focus it all on the button

Video Games - Page 31 6xbP5Wx

Anyway after you click that, Big Picture starts up. It's not available for consoles, sorry about that.

My fightstick arrived today! I got a Hori Fighting Stick Mini 3. It's pretty small, and I was worried about how easy it'd be to use in my lap but it works pretty well. It's also pretty easy to store it.
