Fallout: Equestria is pretty damn good. I don't know how long it took me to read the entire thing, but it was well worth it.
Littlepip makes the protagonists from the Fallout series look kinda insignificant in comparison.

And if you like it, you should try it's side story Project Horizons. It's not by the same author, but the author has given the green light to him personally and pretty much said "Yup. This is some pretty good work here. Got my seal of approval. Keep on writing, please."
It's perhaps not quite as good as the original, but it's still pretty awesome.

Yeah, with that bloody horn that they didn't bother making sure was obliterated. I bet he'll be back. Maybe then he might, I don't know, have some actual lines other than "Crystals..." and "Hello my slaves...". That is what I didn't like about this villan, he had no character. But as a monster, he was awesome.
Massive shadow creature that laid seige to the Chrystal Empire.
Had a large amout of magic that he makes good use of.

Clever trap, I thought that Twilight might had gotten her mind corrupted from useing so much shadow magic and opening her mind to a massive sorce of evil magic that clearly took over her brain for a moment. I would had REALLY been impressed if had corrupted her mind to evil(Though Discord came close... he only made her depressed and what not).
Good way of keeping his infulence when he couldn't be physically there, making that magic memory filter(why else would they had been able to forget all of those years of joy before he came?).
And I'm telling you, text-book seige. Imagine if he had an army with him, the Empire wouldn't had stood a chance of being saved.

He's a slightly more realistic and closer to home kind of villain where there is no justifible reason in the sence of what the other villians had for this show. He is a conqueror, a king who wants more power, not a royal going after her birth right and exacting revenge for her neglict, not a god who it's his very nature to create chaos and the bad thigns that happen as an result , not a loving mother fighting for her children's right to live, he is what you will find in the real world, and I find that that is one of my favoret things about him, yet this is so overbearing that it completely overights character, which is where he falls out of favor for me.

The book at the end and mentioning of moving onto a higher level of schooling...
I have theroy about the book. Consitering the fact that it was in Luna's possesion and how Celestia nodded when she showed it, I think that Twilight might be so advanced that she might be able to learn at least some alicorn-level magic, and consitering that Luna is a lower level than Celestia, I think that she will be learning some of Luna's magic.
Man, if this is true, there are so many ways how this new level of learning could go wrong...

My prediction: they're grooming Twilight to become an alicorn.

I thought it was pretty good. I actually forgot it was a kids show for a moment, so the magic duel kinda disappointed me.

I just watched the newest two episodes, and I liked them both. We learn a lot of interesting things. For one, we now know, more or less, where Manehatten is. For another thing, we know about "Saddle Arabia" (I have no idea why I didn't think of that before) and that Saddie ponies look slightly different than regular ponies, which I thought was a really neat detail. Then we know that Zecora is the Yoda of the Everfree forest, which we already sort of knew, but now we know in a much more awesome way.

Although, it does make me question, do zebras have magic, or is Zecora just very well versed on the subject? The tea thing could easily have been a sleight of hoof, and the lessons she taught seemed to be more about how to use tricks to LOOK like magic, so I would have to say no.


But do ANY zebras have magic?

Overall, I liked the episode. There were a lot of rather obvious references to brony culture, but they didn't disrupt the show or anything.

Ok, that was just god damn awesome.
I don't really have any words for it, seeing as how I just start babbling when I try to talk and all people can hear is "Awesome, Trixie, Oh god yes, Oh man, awesome." So just imagine any combination of those words/phrases for about, say, an hour.

As for Zebras, I think that they, like all ponies, have intrinsic magical power. But instead of channelling it into enhanced strength and endurance like Earth Ponies, it allows them to perform a separate type of magic to do with communicating with spiritual realm, using rituals and alchemy and so forth, more like a Shaman than a mage like Twi.
Or they use their magic to be agile. Seriously, you never see anypony use their hooves like Zecora.

EDIT: Or, they have magic to make them the bestest Rappers.

Well, the way I've always seen it, only certain zebras have the aptitude to use their "Magic" like Zecora, namely, the shamans, and such.

None of them have magic like you would see a unicorn do.

I think Zecora just knows how to do that from years of practice.

I hadn't quite caught on at the time, but now that I think about it, why the hell was Twilight's idea of entertaining important guests is to fling a bunch of woodland critters around.
I mean, who thinks of that? Like, out of everything, why treating rodents like juggling implements? Take a page out of Trixie's book: Fireworks. Fireworks make sense and are awesome. And doesn't make Fluttershy threaten you.

So. Apparently, people don't like Trixie. So. I put the question to you: Do you like Trixie?
Whether you think she's mean/evil/jerk/bitch is irrelevant. I acknowledge that she is a bit of an arrogant bitch, but I still love her. Discord is an evil spirit of chaos that is a colossal dick, but damn is he awesome. People who are dicks can be just as lovable as people who are kind.

I was underwhelmed by her, apparently. I liked her, but I would never have expected the pure deluge of fan art/fics.

I'm coming back to being a harcore brony, I think.
I started to play TF2, then quit it to watch one of the episodes I still havn't seen.
This is going to be interesting...

Hmm. Well, I suppose I am indifferent to her. She's not a memorable character to me.

I think she's pretty, I suppose, but I don't get why she's so popular. She really doesn't even deserve to be compared to any of the "Two-part villians" (Discord, NMM, etc)
