It Made My Day

My dad and oldest brother are both firemen. They have to both attend and teach courses in specific areas several times a year, do drills of all sorts and once a year there's always a big exam for anyone looking to get a promotion. They don't get insta-promoted if they pass, but they have to pass it just to be eligible for one later on.

IMMD: So today in Biology, some of us had colds. Near the end of the period, the teacher offered us a container of some plant that he said we could sniff and it would clear our sinuses. When people began coughing afterwords, I just assumed that it was because the plant had a foul smell, but then I got to take a whiff.
It turns out that the plant was a ghost pepper, one of the hottest peppers in the world. My nose burned, my eyes were watering, and I was coughing up a storm.

But it cleared my sinuses, and was funny as hell.

"So what did you do in school today?"

"I huffed a pepper."

Cool story, man.

I found my university's LGBT group today!

I(almost)MMD: Waiting for my new phone to arrive. Ended up ordering it from the Netherlands, since it's nearly 80€ (~100$) cheaper there than it is here. Again, because Belgium sucks at selling cool products.

IMMD: I snuck in a Pony reference while talking to my dad.

We were talking about how cheese is cooler than bread, because when cheese gets moldy you can just cut the mioldy part off and eat the rest, but when bread gets moldy, its off to the trash.

I said bread needs to be about 20% cooler. I dont know why this made my day. I was the only one that noticed.



I guess I just enjoy the little things.

Heh, when I had to do an English speech on "Representing Stereotypical Australia" it was basically one big nod to MLP. the part that wasn't MLP reference was me insulting the audience. Look, if you give a subject like that, making me take it seriously is gonna be harder than forcing a spoon directly through a tank, using only your eyelashes.

I outlined the "elements" of Aussie mateship, such as how we are very honest, blunt people, incredibly loyal, kindhearted towards others and so on...
I tried to get all of them in, but it went over 6 minutes so I had to stop.
Yes, You LOSE points for talking too long about subjects.
Oh well, I got near the top anyway.

IMMN: I finanally found an unedited verson of Read it and Weep, and I'm loveing it so far.
It's like me and Dragon Riders of Pern/ Warriors/ Silverwing ect during my big spouts of reading. Can't wait to curl up with it again.
