I got some stuff in the PlayStation Spring Sale: A Train 6 on PS2, and Hercules and Atlantis on PS1. A Train 6 is kind of complicated and I don't know how much progress I'll make in it, but hey, it was four pounds and I'd have felt bad if I never tried it out.
Hercules is fun: the actual movement is a bit stodgy but it looks great (for a PS1 game?) and jumping through the levels and attacking the enemies is exhilarating. Maybe my opinion will alter as I play beyong the first level but it's something I'm getting out of nostalgia more than anything.
I got Atlantis in a bundle with Hercules for something like £3.60. I wasn't impressed by the film but I kind of like the game: it's a bit early Tomb Raider in that you explore an area and solve puzzles. The art direction is really stylised: a bit Bugs Bunny Lost in Time if you've played it. Again, first impressions, but it's an entertaining experience.
I quite like that our PSN has a load of old licensed Disney titles on it. Sure, I sense it's a bit of a cop-out, but most of these are kind of enjoyable if you're in the mood for something light-hearted. And games like Toy Story 2 are honestly solid games.
