Katls wrote:Weeeeeeeeeell. This sucks. Steam is messed up now that I added The Hidden in it. Can't even launch the game now.
EDIT: Scratch that. Now all but the game problem is solved, but I just realized that there aren't enough game files to support it after looking in the game folder(basicly, I don't have hl2, so it can't run. Duh.)
if you have tf2, you need to go into the tools and install a couple things that assist in supporting mods
i forget what those are at the moment XD

edit:
go to your library and click the dropdown menus that says "all games" go to "tools"
if you have a game that uses source, like hl2 or tf2, then you should see "source SDK", "source SDK 2006" and, "source SDK 2007".
you need the original and 2007 for sure, but you might as well download source 2006 as well.
this will run the mod

I found out why it wasn't working.
I have the updater, not the full client.
Well, time to wait for Dad to get home...

I got it working and I was playing it for a little. I only got to be Hidden twice, but the first time I did very well. The low-ceiling hallway in Exectutive was the death of me though, couldn't get away.

No, I wasn't going to watch it. Didn't need to spoiler, mistery mod. I was simply expressing a lack of confidence in the makers after GV.
VGRT: I never thought I'd get so into Half-Life 2, let alone so quickly. Thank you AM so much for gifting me it.

I'm getting a Steam Ticket error. I might have to reinstall, which I can't do on my own(any istallation program on this computer needs admin acesss).

I got that too for a while. After rebooting my computer it seemed fixed, so I'd recommend trying that first.

I've tryed that. I've logged out of steam and logged back in. The next best thing, I hear, is to whive everything from the steam folder other than Steam.exe and steam apps. I'm not going to try that for now.

That actually wouldn't be so bad. I'd recommend cut-pasting to a back-up folder instead of deleting. The steamapps folder is the majority of your steam installation. it's about %99.75 of mine.

So, I've spent some time watching s 24/7 stream of people speed running games to raise funds for the Prevent Cancer foundation. (Last I checked they were around $315,000)
I watched some play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and finish it at 100% completion in around 5 and a half hours. (I did not watch the full 5 hours, only parts)
Then someone else finish it, not at 100% this time, in around 23 minutes.
True, they were using glitches but still, it was damn impressive.
I used to think I was good at LoZ.

In case you want to watch games get violated, they will continue doing so for about another 24 hours.
Here is the stream:

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is fucking fantastic, but could also be known as XCOM: Terrible Loss Simulator.

It's the same with Valkyria Chronicles, in most cases. I lost one of my soldiers, Ted, in a tense battle against, basically, a witch. Like, a magic witch. I felt awful. But no way was I sitting through a convoluted hour-long mission again. I've saved my victory in a separate file though, so I can go back and tyr the mission again if I want.

If you have a PS3 Valkyria Chronicles is a great game that I heartily recommend. Your soldiers come across more as JRPG party members than, you know, soldiers. But you get really attached to them and it's dreadful if one gets killed. Even the moody, nasty ones.

So true in all of it's predisessors(I assume, as I have only played the first game.)
The worst part is that not many of my soldiers have enough times for me to bond with them. My last game, I became instantly attached to THE most talented recrute I had ever seen. increadably brave, great acruacy, good reactions, she only lacked a little in build(energy and health).
That was her downfall. After the time she became a captain, she was sniped. Just as she stepped outside. Nobody else did. That monster was WAITING for her. It was like it knew both how important she was to the team and me. It was the first time I've rage quit Xcom.

I can't handle losing an Assassin Recruit in Assassin's Creed. It makes me very sad.
