IMMWeekend: Where to begin?
First of all, We drove up the the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells. This was due to the fact that every year, the whole American Kyukido Federation has a big graduation ceremony every year for students who are promoting to First Dan and beyond.
On Saturday, my family and I went through the test, and once that was over, I offically became a Second Dan Black Belt in Kyukido.
Now, the thing about the Black belt graduation for us is that it's like the Olympics. The opening ceremony is very formal and proper, but when everything is wrapping up, it's all just entertainment.
Since our style is Korean, this involved Gangnam Style, and it was asked that anyone who knew the dance come up to the front of the big convention room in front of everybody to Show it off.
So of course, this meant that I, along with a group of others, started dancing to Gangnam SDtyle in front of the Grandmaster/Founder, and all of the other Masters, as well as everybody who was testing and in the audience.
Later that night, we were hanging out in the hotel room of some friends of ours who also tested, and the topic of muscles came up. This of course, led to people talking about how well I do push ups, and ended up with me having to take my shirt off and show off my chiseled back and shoulders. Flexing was involved.
Overall weekend was 10/10. Would bang again.
