Video Games

I started playing the 4th game, but it won't let me register a name for online...keeps not recognizing it as valid. At least the 3rd doesn't require that you be online to start the game. []

Well, after some research, I have come to the conclusion that I have never played any games made by Square Enix or Valve, but I have played one game made by Blizzard.

It was Blackthorne for the SNES< and it had a similar setting to Diablo, in that it took place mostly in dark caverns, but had a completely different premise It was basically a dark fantasy games, where you're main enemies were these troll/ogre looking guys, but everyone had guns and bombs.

Update: Diablo 3 is awesome, yet buggy. The combat is fantastic and it's really fun to play, but these bugs, man. Did not expect this from Blizzard, they're usually so good at delivering fairly bug-free products. (And these aren't minor things like "There's a glitch if you follow these 3 pages of instructions exactly". For me personally, the cinematics are in slow motion but the sound isn't, so the audio finishes halfway through the video, and my achievements have disappeared and I can't get new ones)

What are Diablo 1 and 2 like? I've always thought about getting them just because their cover art looks so cool.

I have no idea, but everyone I know seems to like them.

Have you ever played borderlands? Borderlands's gameplay is almost exactly like it. You play through a story and level up putting points into skill trees and collecting better loot along the way then you play the story over on a harder level for better drops and higher levels until you go online and play against Koreans who have snuggled kittens with the game mechanics so their skill point trees look like they have serial numbers and hacked the most powerful weapons possible into the game and duplicated them endlessly

I haven't played Borderlands, actually, I was thinking about getting that too...

They sound a bit like Dungeon Siege 2, so I'll probably give them a shot.

D3 bugs appear to have been fixed, my achievements have (almost completely) returned when I started playing again yesterday and the cinematics play like they should. I just finished the game and already restarted in nightmare mode.

For the people who don't know, when you first play the game you start off in normal mode and every time you finish it you can restart with your exact same character on the next difficulty setting and just start levelling again, finding better loot and being able to craft better items. It's still enteraining because there are still new skills to unlock, the combat doesn't get boring (Explosions! Lasers! Big swords!), there are tons of random events and random elite mobs out in the battlefield and dungeons are randomised (So you can enter a dungeon in the same place as before, but it wont be the same on the inside).

The best thing is that the boss fights actually feel like an accomplishment. No sissy "stab boss here to win" markers, you really need to think about how you're going to use the abilities you have to deal with each boss properly.

Are you talking about Jet Set Radio? Because it's being re-released on PSN and XBL.

First:
Enchantress: *girlish giggle*
Me: "What's so funny?"
Ench.: "I just remembered something the prophet said about you"
Me: "Like what?"
Ench.: "Oh, nothing..." *more giggling*

What do you have on me, prophet?!

And then 20 minutes later I got bro-zoned.

Ench.: "I feel like you are my elder brother, is that wrong?"
Me: "Just don't ask me for advice about men."

Not a good day for my wizard.

I wouldn't find that too bad. Well, maybe I would. I don't know. At least I don't have to compete for her attention with the other guys of the group.
