SO I got Mario Galaxy 2 and while it plays well enough I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be. For starters it feels very easy: I'm already nearing the end of World 3 and have found virtually all the stars I can. Also, I miss the sensation of flying around actual planets rather than mini Mario 64 worlds: the sky isn't dark, or when it is the colours look a little odd. So, it's a great game, but not as good as Mario Galaxy. It just doesn't have that same outer-space vibe I was hoping for.

Just won a game in Knights of Honor (it's a rather old, Total War type of game, but it looks pretty good and i like playing it)! I'm happy because winning means conquering all of Europe, one major city at a time, while trying not to get annihilated yourself through diplomacy. There are other ways to win as well, but they aren't as fulfilling. ("You have been chosen as Emperor of Europe, will you accept this minor victory?" NO BITCH! *off to kill the pope*)

just opened the last demon door in fable 2
for all of those unfamiliar with that, i'll tell you. demon doors are ancient stone doors with an attitude. different ones want different things.
thre's one that wants you dog to do about 10 different tricks for it. another wants you to kick a chicken at it.
the harder ones are a bit more insane. one in brightwood at first send you to get cheese, then he says your not wearing the proper hairstyles so he'll send you to get it. fyi the styles always include facial hair, even for the female characters. then he sends you to get the most ridiculous outfit u can think of. and the reward wasnt that great XC. for males i guess the reward is the "lady of the night" outfit. for females they get the "lad of the night" *facepalm*
the other annoying one is one that wants you to be more corrupt than pure. not moraly evil, just corrupt. you can easily achieve this by buying up stores and raising the prices. or eating alot of unhealthy foods. but i'm not mean to the ppl, so i had to eat the foods. it took me a while and about 7 game days to complete this. the reward is a legendary weapon. tho my weapon was better anyhow.
the last door isnt hard, all you have to do is open the other 8 doors, and he will begrudgingly allow you to enter. lotsa fun.

I completely agree Gorgro, I used to compulsively watch them, and now it's a remarkable things if I remember there's a new one. Sad times!

Does anyone know if any good games came out recently? (and i use the term 'recent' very loosely) Because i just can't manage to find games that i can enjoy at least until i've finished the single player campaign and not get bored with the story/gameplay (Crysis, Wolfenstein, any racing game), or not just get plain annoyed by the controls and barely make it past the first mission (Bad Company 2, Age of Conan, Red Alert 3)

I got MW2 today but I haven't played it yet because I had to break wood, and I am waiting for someone to "finish their coffee" and I have been waiting for this for 45 minutes now, before we can move some wood around.
I really want to go for a shower but I have to wait.

@gorgro: i can only offer stuff that i've played. if you have a 360 i would suggest playing mass effect 1 and 2. although it makes more sense if you play the first one first. gameplay is fun, story is engrossing. and every action you do affects the universe. and since mass effect 2 uses the save data from mass effect 1, you can use the same character and the actions that you did in the first game will affect the second game.
what console do you have, or are you a pc gamer?

ok, well i know that portal is out for the pc. so is team fortress 2 and the half life series. also bioshock. any of those would be good games. i think that you would rly like portal, its a puzzle type of game where you have to move this block to the end point using the portal gun. tf 2 is a multyplayer shooting game. half life is a expansive storyline using guns and the gravity gun (XD u can pick up objects and toss em at enemies!). bioshock is somewhat similar.
the first three games i mentioned are available in a package called the orange box i think. and jonny knows more about these than i do.

I hope Activision goes out of business, they F-ed up with CoD:MW2. They are already losing money, and unless Black Ops picks them back up they're probably dead in the water.

i missed the microsoft conference for e3. any one see it? what did i miss?
i did see the nintendo and sony ones tho.
nintendo: kid icarus, kirby, donkey kong, another mario sports game, just dance, dj hero, zelda skyward sword (using the wiimotion plus), epic mickey, goldeneye, metriod other M, and the 3ds o corse. i also heard of a KH and an assasin's creed.

sony: o course the move is coming out soon, and sony is also jumping on the 3d bandwagon with 3d gaming and 3d glasses. the night fight game, the gladiator game, the last guardian (from the makers of shadow of the colossus!), sorcery (this looks fun btw), little big planet 2, killzone. and a bunch of other things that i cant recall. they are also making games that they've already released able to use the move controller.
