So far I got some money intended for a new phone and a gift certificate for a local game store intended for Skyrim. Now I just need to wait a few days to get the rest of my gifts (gift-giving is spread out between christmas and newyears) and I'll be able to get the stuff I wanted.

i got: a minecraft shirt, a book (the looking glass wars), and some chocolate.
i'm very pleased XD

so today i went to my godparents house for dinner. their grandchildren were there and were actually asking about when i would come over. last year i spent the entire time with them playing hide and go seek and other games, they are young kids i think 6 and 7.
this year we ended up playing on two computers with the paint program, then we watched spongebob. then while i was looking at something on my computer one of the girl's noticed minecraft on my computer.
so i showed her some basic controls and let her run around in creative mode on a new world. i gave her a little help but after a few minutes she really liked it.
when i was leaving she excitedly told her mom about minecraft, her mom didnt know anything about it so i explained to her that it was basically lego on the computer and that its game in which the only goal is to build things. mother liked that idea.
so i'm going to try to give their mother more info about where to get the game and what the game is about as well as suggest that it would be a great birthday gift for her.

It made my day that all my siblings and I hung out for one or two hours today without anybody totally losing their shit.
