Those are really good perks. Whenever I get visits people complain about how all the flooring has been replaced with swimming pools. It's not so bad in winter, though. Free knife-boots are provided.

Before I let anyone come into my home, I have to make sure they have to have a decent weapon, as well as sufficient self-defense skills and they have to stay with a guide at all times, lest they get lost and perish in the chaos.

IMMD: I sacrificed my Saturday for charity work.

We had lots of rain in April-May here, and because of all that rain, a small town near a river got flooded. Many peoples lost their homes, and I can tell you, morale was rather low.

Me, my dad, and other members of my church, along with other wards in Quebec, grouped up today near that area to clean up and give out a helping hand. Some of the volunteers drove 5 hours just to get there. Some moved sand bags out of the way, others (like me!) cleaned up garbage, rocks and other debris.

The news got wind of this. You can see the video here. Even though it's in french, you'll get the idea. My only regret is that I'm nowhere in the video.

IMMD: Even though it's killing my download limit and it takes twice as long to download an episode than to watch one, I'm watching Game Of Thrones and declare it to be awesome. I do wonder how people who haven't read the books perceive it, because the story is advancing quite fast. It's interesting to see how they choose to develop the characters and the lore, sometimes they add scenes that were never in the book, other times they literally use dialogue from it. I even noticed they gave one character's dialogue to someone else at one point, presumably to describe the two personalities at once.

My brother never read the series, but he's watching the show...he sometimes confuses character names for titles, etc., and to him

I do like some of the scenes they added that weren't in the books, and most of the changes I accept, since this was done in close collaboration with the author. []

I only that it has Boromir in it and therefore to my mind this is all about alt-universe Boromir.

I haven't actually read the books or seen the shows so, yeah, it makes little difference what I think.
