What made my day was that I seemed to be the only person who could withstand the temperature without doing anything to warm myself up except moving a bit quicker.

IMMD: My friend (well, more peer than friend, but whatever) went completely, utterly, totally mouth frothingly berserk a few days ago. For no valid reason.
His reasons were: The man he tryed to stab with scissors (who was, by the way, older, and far more in shape/stronger) had a fling with his girlfriend. 6 months before he met her. Now, if that wasn't enough.... His other reason was "he was till snooping around my girl". She works serving food at concerts. The man in question was a customer. Y'know, it's her job to talk to customers and so forth. And they're still friends, so it's nothing sinister. But even so, it's very reasonable to attempt to stab him, right?
Right?
Oh yes, even if your girlfriend is holding you back and begging you not too. Thats just more incentive, amirite?
Why did this make my day.
It's sodding hilarious.
That and the people nearby said this brilliant line:
"Holy fucking shit dude! Thats crazy! Check out that guys hat! It has FLAPS at the BACK! WOW!"

I don't disagree with any of those ^^ I quite like that interpretation in minitruth; You are right, the Party makes haste to eliminate inaccuracies to the point where - in everyday life - they become non-existent.
((Of course non-existent, if one is a brainless follower of Ingsoc and Big Brother! ))
