Samiam

I didn't realize this was here at first till it got pointed out to me on minecraft

Well real talk samiam edition?

Well I met several of my friends and for sure 2 of my best friends through the forum. It really helped open doors and expand my social circle a lot.

I did got on an extended sabbatical there for a while and it was not so much I hated anyone here. Well I didn't care for a couple of individuals for sure. It was just that I just didn't log for a while and didn't think to much about it and next thing you know a year goes by and you don't know if you should even bother to log back in. I am glad people still remember and enjoy my company and thank you all for it.

I don't post to much since I only follow a few threads. I can't follow along with the RP thread very well at all and I don't post so much on more serious issues since I do have some strong opinions that may be insulting to other forum members and may lead to more heated discussions later.

@Sam: Heated discussions? Yes please, I am all for those. Please feel free to share your opinions Sam, we will all learn things from each other when we try to explain our points of view. With all of us here I believe it should be easy enough to keep civil, we can keep each other in line.
You are one of us and you are always welcome here!

Real Talk, you guys...ever have one of those days when you start to feel like doing a million things, and then just lose interest before you do any of them? Maybe I just need more coffee. [ ]

For real I think all of us lazy autists would benefit from a motivation thread
but i can't be bothered making it

No but for real we could probably benefit from it. It's good to have aims and goals (even if they're just itty bitty little ones). I would make it but I think that is a huge step to take; it requires a lot of trust in everyone who reads it and people have to be willing to offer support. A potential idea would be to make a private board on here, add everyone who signs up to the group that grants people posting rights to that board and fill it with goals and such; that would let people feel more safe and comfortable with posting on there since no-one we don't trust would be able to read it.

If people think it's a good idea we can make it, either way is fine, even if we don't make it that's fine too. I'd rather people were honest than signing up for something they didn't want.

Meh, I'd almost rather not bother....I mean, I managed to motivate myself to make some books this weekend...a couple scrolls and the start of another regular book...that's about it. I played some Sonic...will probably play some Atari later...

...I don't even play Cookie Clicker anymore...[ ]

Actually I do like that idea, I could post stuff I really need/want to get done, and then later I'd have to post if I did or didn't do them. I'd feel bad to look all lazy for you guys by writing "yeahhh I didn't do it, I suck", so even that would motivate me to do it, just knowing other people will check up on if I did.

But if no one else is up for it, it's kinda useless. We'll see if more people join, nice idea though Sashersmasher.

Thanks, Tasha
100% agree with everything you said, pretty much exactly my perspective
It would only really help people to any real extent if there were at least a few people posting in there

I know I'd be posting in it a lot because my life is in shambles oh gee

Do you think it's a bad idea, JT or just not your thing? I honestly don't mind if you never wanted to post in there because of personal preference but if you think there's a flaw or something could go wrong it'd be a benefit to hear about it now, because you're a very astute observer and I'd rather we stopped mishmash scuffles before they happened rather than trying to mop them up afterward.
And if you don't mind the idea but just think it's not your style then you could help support people that post in there with tips or such without having to post your own goals, but that's not required or anything, just a suggestion.

Some sort of motivational thread would benefit greatly for a great amount of people here I think (myself included), but really even if only a few people need motivation to pull through something, I'm fully on board in setting something up.

I don't think that idea is very much my speed. While I suffer from problems with motivation, they're of a fairly personal nature that I can usually work out on my own.

If it would help y'all, you guys should do it. I'm all about taking action when there's a problem, so I say go for it, and godspeed. [/motivation]

I'd look at it, but most likely I wouldn't interact with it in a meaningful way. Take that as you will.

Anyone interested in working on the FAQ?

I think it can be edited, but I'm not sure; I figured we could link in any important posts in there as well the basic stuff. It wouldn't really be for new people, primarily, I guess, but it would be a good place to keep some stuff organised for reference.

LOL no, no-one uses it; there's nothing in there anyway

I figured it would be a good spot to collect important stuff for reference, instead of adding more stickies; there wouldn't be a deadline or anything, obviously, and shit we don't have much that could go in there anyway

bouncing the idea around regardless

Hello everyone, its Steve here (Holly's Husband) I may be new here to this forum but I've known about you guys for YEARS! all because of Holly and Jeannette :3 even though sometimes they were a little annoying when they used to CONSTANTLY talk about the forum(I find it kinda funny know looking back on it.) I'm glad to know it makes them happy-So its kinda odd I feel like I know you people, even to consider you all Family, in some way or another. I feel like you've always been there-Life has just led me here (Finally) and if it's not about the Daisy Owl Comic anymore I'm okay with that(Not that Ive been fully invested in it) so its not fading away think of it as exploring our interest, with you my new friends anything is Possible-

Awww. I look forward to being friends with you too! Who couldn't use more friends? And you're cool to talk to, I like you.

I like the FAQ idea I can work on that, yes. I would like to be able to click it and for things to occur.
