I like it being open-ended, it's more fun and leaves more for the community to work with.
I would not mind if there were lore episodes but I don't think they would be done well and probably wouldn't add as much as their absence adds.

I would like more multi-episode adventures.
and more Rarity and Sweetie Belle episodes and songs
also applejack
a fun applejack song

and more spike

Eh, I feel open-endedness is kinda a double edged sword. True, it leaves you to interpret whatever you want, and the community has come up with some truly amazing stories by themselves.
However, seeing the official lore would be amazing, considering that chances are it would be well told. Plus, being able to see it animated and so on would make it much more enjoyable.

As for a good Applejack song, I couldn't agree more. She has almost no singing.
And a good, calm, relaxed Fluttershy song would be great.
Because a calm song multiplied by her voice would compound and make a super mega ultra calm song.
It would be like injecting calmness straight into your veins.
So basically, overdosing on powerful painkillers.
Except ADORABLE.

So, of all the big, show-stopping musical numbers, I still think Winter Wrap Up is my favorite.


It's not my favorite SONG (That's Cupcakes or Giggle at the Ghosties), but of all the musical numbers, it's my favorite.

It seemed like season 1 had more than season 2. This Day Aria is the only one that jumps to mind as a multi-character number.

I like The Art of the Dress

I'm not sure if the VA does the singing for Rarity but whoever is doing it has such a sexy voice.

I liked Art of the Dress. I really liked the Flim Flam song, too.


I like Rarity's voice, but it just seems so out of character. It doesn't really sound like Rarity.

I really like Pinkie's voice, and Fluttershy's voice. Their VA's can sing in-character, and it really makes the songs sound better, I think.


Wait, Twilight might sing in-character, too, but I can't recall. I remember that she didn't have a bad voice, though.


None of them sound bad, though. It's impressive, really. (Except Rainbow Dash.... Im not even sure if I've seen her sing, beyond small parts in other songs.)

The singing Rarity is more throaty, you're right.

Twilight sings really close to her normal voice, in my opinion. I knew she didn't but I went back and listened to Winter Wrap-Up and it's almost spot-on. I don't know why I was knowing.
It must be tough for whoever is doing RD to sing because when she does she loses the attitude and the force in the voice and that's what makes RD RD. If there was a Rainbow Dash song it work best as a rock ballad or similar.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Twilight's voice is good, and it's pretty in-character... There's just something I don't like about it. I can't put my hoof on it, though...

Dash needs a solo song. May the Best Pet Win was close, but still.

Im pretty sure it's the same person. At least, she sounds the same.

Yeah, Andrea Libman sings for Fluttershy too.

It seems odd that they would get a second person to do the singing for Pinkie Pie, then. If she's capable of singing for Fluttershy I don't see why shy can't sing for Pinkie.

Singing is different than talking. It's hard to sing in certain voices, where as it might be easy to talk in them. I can talk like Scooby Doo, but I sure as hell can't sing like him.

(He's got the voice of an angel. Probably)

The story goes that basically, since Tara Strong lives in LA and the rest of the cast and crew live in Vancouver, her being the singing voice of Twilight would be difficult because unlike regular dialogue, the singing pretty much all has to be in the same place for best results. Shannon Chan-Kent was one of the people who auditioned for Twilight's singing voice, and, even though she didn't get it, her voice was liked well enough to be Pinkie's. Andrea Libman still sings Pinkie's shorter songs though (like the Welcome song.)

That's why I've never liked Pinkie's longer songs. I mean... They're not bad, she has a good voice and all, but they're simply not in character.
