Me and XIV would have the most interesting "debates" over the Empire and Rebels, which usally invovles me blameing the Rebels for the Empire's cracking down on planets and becomeing stricter and creuler and also makeing insults about the Rebels and jedi(me, not the Empire) and him trying to convince me to his side and makeing rebuttles(last time he quoted from The Man in the Iorn mask in one of them).
Our debates ar NEVER productive. No one gets ticked off at eachother, but it could go on for hours sometimes.

I think the Empire COULD have been a viable ruling body, had it not:

Recruited theives and brigands. Murderers. The scum of society. Bounty Hunters not-withstanding. These people also made it to high places. Admirals and generals and Grand Moffs.


Also, the Emperor. He is evil. Plain and simple. And when he died, he had clones of himself ready to take over. These things prevent the Empire from becoming a good ruling government.
