RT: Watching QI made me realise that some of the silly or strange activities in Terry Pratchett books are actually real things. Season 5 of QI, for example, enlightened me about herding snails and the rough music, both of which appear in 'I Shall Wear Midnight', the latest Pratchett book I read.

I Shall Wear Midnight also advances the timeline in a few small but significant ways.
