So on Friday night, went with a few of the gang at my karate school to the Relay for Life on campus. Didn't stay the whole time (was there for about three and a half hours), because had to get up (or rather not really go to sleep) ridiculously early on Saturday morning to go with my instructor and a few others from the karate school to a tournament in Scranton, PA (about five hours' drive away). Was there from around 10:30 to 5:00. Got first place in breaking and second place in forms, weapons, and sparring. First time I'd actually competed in all four events (much less placed in all four). Fortunately, this being a school fundraising tournament, it was medals, not trophies.

...so yeah...got back home around 12:30 this morning, completely wiped. My eyes are red and sore, my whole body aches...but it was a good experience. I count it as an achievement, since it was my last tournament experience before the promotion next month. [ ]
