Am I the only one who thought that Metal Gear Solid 2 was too short? Less than 20 hours. Is too short in my opinion, am I alone here? Other than being too short I thought it was a great game. Hideo Kojima is the master of mind-fucking.

Alright, gave MvM another chance, and I discovered that it's only not fun when you're playing with jerks and idiots.
Being pyro is so rewarding in Coaltown. Exspceally with scouts and a highly upgraded degreaser/axtengisher. Full health in return for a kill, sucker!

Hardly anyone plays on there anymore, though, so it's much better. Warcraft III servers are still pretty shit. Can't play a game of Castle Fight without at least one person being abused, and then when they rage quit it's "NOW I HAVE TO PLAY WITH A BOT, FUCK, WE ARE GOING TO LOST SO BAD!!!!"

MGS2 is the only one I've played so far, and for the most part I don't think I'm too lost. They mention Shadow Moses a lot(the events of MGS1), but MGS2 takes place 4 years after, so it's not that big of a deal.
The Metal Gear chronology isn't straightforward either. Chronologically speaking the timeline is as follows: MGS3:Snake Eater, MGS: Portable Ops, Metal Gear(The original on MSX/NES/DOS), Metal Gear 2, MGS1, MGS2, MGS4, and the upcoming installment(with the most ridiculous title possible): Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
All that said, it's probably still best to play MGS1 first.

All I remember doing is walking around in a cardboard box and putting people to sleep.

I played the fourth and just read a synopsis of the rest. The interactive intermissions between the cutscenes were pretty fun.

I think the next video game I get will be Skyrim, and it will probably be for Christmas as we are poor as fuck. Although I think probably Borderlands 2 would be a better choice, as my father loves Borderlands. If any of y'all have played it, is the gameplay similar? Are the controls in the same places?

I haven't played Borderlands but Skyrim is missable. The combat is awful. The magic system is completely ruined, compared to Oblivion.

It's a less fun Fallout 3, set in Nirn.

So, remember a few pages back, when I showed my Saints Row 3 character and complained a bit that I couldn't find any clothes to recreate my judo outfit?



I'll be looking into clothes shops more often in that game, to see if I can make it even better.

Then again, I have it for PC, and the mods are awesome.


I liked the setting and plot of Oblivion better, but Skyrim REALLY improves the melee combat.

Fallout 3 has terrible combat. If it weren't for VATS, it would be no fun (The combat, I mean.)


Plus, in the PC version, you get a mod that adds cloaks.

Seriously, guys, cloaks are fucking awesome.

Eh, some mods are okay. The cloaks do look bitchin' but...
I got the exposure mod that came with them. I went from 100% warm to freezing to death, and in fact, dying, in less than 2 minutes. I just wanted to fast travel to a cold city.
However, Midas Magic is a marvellous mod and anyone who plays Skyrim on PC should get it.
It makes magic useful, you guys. USEFUL! And the magic isn't 100000000000 Mana for a novice spell.
It's crazy, I know.

Oh, yeah, I skipped that mod. I prefer to be killed by trolls, not snow. Unless it's magical, living snow. Then Im ok with it.


I need to get that mod. I have one magic mod that adds a bunch of new spells, but I haven't gotten to use it yet since I made a warrior this time. It's actually fun. Shield bash is the greatest, guys.
